  1. What's funny is that if someone reports them, their listings will be pulled. When you sell on eBay, you can't refuse to accept PayPal. eBay put this rule in place years ago, shortly after they bought Paypal. Wonder if this will change now that they're spinning off PayPal.
  2. Fear: A Novel of World War I by Gabriel Chevalier.
  3. The dress made of pasta reminds me of the ad currently on TV about bacon.
  4. We'll find out tonight if Cinderella turns back into a pumpkin or however the story goes
  5. The amount of information out there about ourselves is scary. Just google yourself and you'll be shocked by the results.
  6. I'm wondering what is the overall verdict. If the sound is crappy, I may want to cancel the order.
  7. I thought the allusion to classical music interesting. I don't pretend to be knowledgeable in classical music but don't many conductors play it note by note?
  8. You seem fixated on making fun of her with your photos of other women. It comes of as sexist, not to mention mean spirited. Sad.
  9. Some good hits, Kicks most notably. Other than that.....
  10. Terrible on so many levels. Sour grapes from a Rangers fan. Angels eased up on the gas after winning the West and were never the same, not to mention that not having Garrett Richards, one of the best pitchers in baseball this year, hurt them. They were never able to replace the starting pitching they lost.
  11. Incredibly sorry to hear this. As others said, his blog was fantastic.....and thorough. Moreover, he was way too young. What a loss.
  12. This will be the first Mosaic I've ordered in a very long time. When I got the email yesterday, my first reaction was "Wow!" Obviously have all the Bird but getting it anyway. Sweet.
  13. With the discontinuance, people are looking to make a quick buck. My son's iPod was stolen so we looked around this weekend until we were informed it had been discontinued. I have one but haven't used it much lately. I looked online at Amazon and eBay and sellers (speculators) went out and purchased remaning stock and are trying to sell them at $400 to $500. That's a joke. As I don't use mine much, I gave him mine. If I feel the need to replace mine, I will wait a few months until the fever dies down.
  14. If you think you have too many records, read this article, http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/10/magazine/the-brazilian-bus-magnate-whos-buying-up-all-the-worlds-vinyl-records.html?ref=magazine&_r=0, and you'll be able to relax
  15. Indeed! At my rate it will take me another 11 years to get to 10G.
  16. I missed that one but a good book on the financial crisis (although there are a lot if them and I've been told there are better books) is The Sellout by Charles Gasparino. The fall of Bear Stearns and their appetite for risk figures prominently in the book.
  17. I've had this happen in other spheres and the whole thing gets replaced. Can't remember what it was but it's not a corporate world mentality. It's called quality control.
  18. Reminded me of Boiler Room in certain respects but thought it faithfully reproduced the attitude.
  19. Going back to the original question, I do feel it's a must buy as it showchases these legendary concerts and almost brings you into the concert house. Now, is it something I listen to all the time? No, but glad I have it.
  20. besides the injury possibility, it's not faster either. None of these guys every learn. It's not the proper way to slide into any base.
  21. Completely agree. That's the first thing that came to mind when I saw this thread.
  22. Back in the 60s, when I used to visit my Grandmother in NYC, we would watch Lawrence Welk together. Since she would bake my favorite cookies, I couldn't say no. The Basie clip is cool.
  23. I know it's a corny song but I always liked Act Naturally.
  24. I've heard the Drive My Car version before from the Love videos above but the others are new to me and prefer the original. These don't do much for me. Like 'em the way I heard them.
