  1. Happy Birthday my friend. Hope you get some good chess books

Great album. Don't think there is much recorded output after that, a pity.
  3. Some good selections here, like the Desmonds, unless you have the Mosaic.
  4. Going to get Team of Rivals, the new Lincoln history from Doris Kearns Goodwin and reading Alan Moorehead's book on the North African conflict during WW 2.
  5. While I may not be up on the most recent changes on bankruptcy law (I'm taking a refresher course next month), individuals can't file for Chapter 7. That means they go out of business. What are you going to do? Kill the person. Chapter 13 is the answer for individuals. While you're in Chapter 11, you continue to conduct business as normal and the Code's automatic stay provisions prevent lawsuits and such until you emerge from bankruptcy.
  6. Looking forward to listening to this. Maybe you should have Dan and Chuck co host a show. Might be interesting
  7. ????
  8. Even if that were true, you need to distinguish between Chapter 7, liquidation, and Chapter 11, reorganization. Chapter 11 would be the most likely option.
  9. Allen, Emailed you about Blues for Bud, Teddy Wilson Solos and Hawk's Thanks for the Memory.
  10. Nothing wrong with that. I just purchased through iTunes Paint it Black and Between the Buttons (UK version). Paint it Black is one of their best albums and that 11 or 12 minute version of Going Home can't be beat.
  11. ?? If you're missing a disc, contact Mosaic.
  12. "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" Ah, that takes me back... to a time when I had no idea what the hell that song was about! I still don't. ← As 50 plussers, we're obviously dating ourselves Jim. ← Whoa now... I'm still 49 for a few months yet! ← Close enough!
  13. The Golson version is one of my favorites although the Shorter group is probably the best. Not really the JMs is the group on the Birdland albums. It's hard to beat the starpower of that five, though.
  14. Found it. Thanks.
  15. "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" Ah, that takes me back... to a time when I had no idea what the hell that song was about! I still don't. ← As 50 plussers, we're obviously dating ourselves Jim.
  16. Looks like the problem was not sticking the www in front of the link. Thanks y'all.
  17. I don't know if this has been discussed but the old Fantasy web site is now gone. At least I can't find it. I assume it's been incorporated into the Concord site. That's where they mention the Prestige profiles but if you look for the old catalog it's not there and not listed in the Concord site. I'm not sure what to say but we may have lost a great resource.
  18. Jim, It was all whistling. Pretty amazing. I actually found it recently on Limewire. Play it once in a while. My son just shakes his head.
  19. I don't have all of these sets but of those that I have my faves are Coltrane Set Blackhawk Prestige Seven Steps Evans
  20. I have this set and it is one of my favorite Mosaics, one of the best they ever produced in my opinion. I'd love to see more of the Master Jazz material out in print.
  21. The only worse thing than talking to yourself is when somebody answers
  22. How about "I was Kaiser Wilhelm's Batman" by Whisting Jack Smith. A favorite from the 60s. Surely, someone remembers that. Also, Rolf Harris' "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Jack". I even bought it on iTunes!
  23. If anger is good for you, I must be really healthy
