Looking at that list, I believe Mosaic had killed off the project because of objections or non-cooperation from his family. The Keynote is just a pipedream, unfortunately.

Norton's detected adware on my computer but when I go to the program in question to delete it won't let me. Any suggestions? When the particular adware tries to send the information, Norton detects and it's permanently blocked. Does that make it harmless?

This is the first time I've had this cd and I think it's one of his better Blue Notes. I wasn't sure to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I don't know about James Spaulding though. He sounds like what Bird would have sounded like if he had playing in the 60s. I don't think he's saying that much.

I was looking for a place like the BNBB and the Harlem site that Catesta pushed the wrong buttons on didn't seem that great and AAJ was ok but b3er allowed this place to grow organically, not guiding it or controlling it. That's why this place is so great. I joined as soon as I heard about it. Always respected what Jim had to say (both Jims that is) and this is a good, no great place. Guilty as charged. I sold on ebay a duplicate copy of volume 1 of Elmo Hope's BN sessions and couldn't find it. Had to send him my own copy and then 3 weeks later I found it in a ledge in the garage where I sometimes put things when I take them out of the car. However, when it comes to Mosaic I am zealously careful.

If you like West Coast jazz, this is a must. A very fine set. It's about time that this set got some appreciation.

I've heard that stacking them horizontally isn't good. Someone mentioned that here. Mine are all vertical. I think it's the same principle with lps. You want them veritical. Which remnds me of a funny line. In New York there used to be a trendy gym (I think it's still around although I'm not sure it's trendy anymore) called the Vertical Club. People would say that you go to the Vertical Club to get horizontal.

I'm no expert but does the skipping as Phil has been experiencing harm his cds?

Terrific Mosaic. I received this back at Christmas time and have loved it ever since. Charlie Mariano was an eyeopener for me. Another excellent album is the self titled Charlie Mariano (I think) on Bethlehem released in Japan. Lots of Frank Rosolino on there too.

This is excellent. I highly recommend this, especially Cherokee. About a year ago or so there was a very nice brief articlea about him in Jazz Times, part of their Overdue Ovation series.

I received mine and listened to 'em this morning on the way down to Philadelphia and I have to say I'm mad at Dan. The reason: there's so many good tunes here that I going to have buy the cds. Gould, you're gonna cost me money!
