  1. This is a Mosaic website question that's probably been answered elsewhere, but... I just preordered. I did not check the "Create Account" box. The order seems to have gone through, I got an acknowledgement e-mail and the credit card info seems to have been processed (in fact, it triggered a phone call from the fraud dept. of my card company. 🤔) But the Mosaic site gave the diagnostic below. Seems to be a site bug, as the billing address had already been entered and the page viewed has no check box. Has anyone else encountered this oddity? I've always considered the Mosaic website shaky (not to mention the contracted shipping company). "Mosaic Customers We launched this new website in early June 2021. For security purposes this new site does require new registration on this site. We apologize for the inconvenience. After you enter billing details please check box after to create an account Receipts/Passwords: Please check spam folder if not received. Your order has been received and is being reviewed. Thank you for your business."
  2. I just ordered it. Had some cdjapan coupons and combined it with a bunch of other items. It's on Youtube:
  3. Whoa. Any details? Needless to say, I'm eager to hear it. 🤩
  4. For what it's worth, I've listened to quite a few of the "Live at Maybeck" solo series and Gene Harris is my favorite, followed by Stanley Cowell.
  5. I enjoy the Don Pullen (Healing Force, Evidence of Things Unseen) and Andrew Hill (Faces of Hope, Verona Rag) titles on Black Saint / Soul Note. I defer to experts on Mal Waldron, but he deserves attention.
  6. Yeah, the lineup on that (K. Mine First) is most interesting! Probably have to wait for another Japanese reissue.
  7. I have trouble with numerical rankings, but these would probably be in the top 5: If one side of an LP counts (the other side is a quintet), This isn't an adventurous choice, but is right near the top: Need more thinking time for others.
  8. I have two other Mine 1970 releases, Mine and 2nd Album, but haven't been able to find First on CD at reasonable price.
  9. On the BBE label, so I think Dusty Groove is likely to get some copies. I'll preorder if/when it shows up on their "Coming Soon" page. Waiting for "in stock" notification risks missing out.
  10. Both with Braxton, G Hemingway, M Dresser, M Crispell
  11. Thanks. Great interview I hadn't seen.
  12. Thanks. Really enjoyed this one musically, though only a couple of selections were familiar. Was fascinated by #9 but had no clue, understandably considering I don't have any of her recordings! Many other things to look into. Don't get the lead pun at all, but having read a lot about the "Manhattan Project" the number 235 (as in U-235) has significance.
  13. Excellent news! I see it on the NJA website, but am waiting for US distribution. Probably DG will get some copies.
  14. I looked up some Youtube selections and was surprised that most seemed to feature him playing Fender Rhodes.
  15. Props to Mosaic for this, musically compelling. I strongly dislike the Mosaic packaging and really do not want any more of their big boxes, but still have to acquire this.
  16. No matter how they massage it, the underlying data is Reddit posts. Is this not a clear case of "Garbage In, Garbage Out"?
  17. I get the impression they're focusing on vinyl. Given what seems to be a massive vinyl craze (even bubble), I can understand why. Absent quality control problems with pressing, the Craft releases are likely to be highly profitable.
  18. Yeah, it's been a remarkable period for Ra reissues. Plus, I find that the reissues done "under license from Sun Ra LLC" [Edit: that's the Irwin Chusid entity mentioned below] have super sound quality, kind of the gold standard in that respect. I now buy only releases with that imprimatur.
  19. Build an Ark, Peace With Every Step
