Yesterday was an improvised set with William Parker (bass), Rob Brown (alto sax and flute), Joe Morris (guitar) and Jerome Deupree (drums) at Real Art Ways in Hartford, CT.

I pre-ordered and received the disc last week. I listened to both discs the other day. I am a big Steve Coleman. Mostly favorable response to the initial spin, but I confess that I am not as wowed by the vocals.

I just received this in the mail yesterday.

In my somewhat cluttered living room with limited space I have a Marantz M-CR611 Desktop network receiver/CD player connected to a pair PSB Alpha B1 speakers. When I do actually get the opportunity to listen to music in my living room I am very happy with that setup. The 611 has been discontinued, but I assume the 612 offers comparable quality. It plays CDs as well as blue tooth and streaming services. Very convenient in a small amount of space.

I found one reasonably priced on Discogs tonight.

I have heard a few Delius recordings. Toby's Mloby is also recommended as is Apa Ini. I generally enjoy many of the musicians associated with the Dutch scene and Delius may be one of the best. HIs group approach seems unique and he has a very interesting tone and approach on saxophone. If you have the book New Dutch Swing by Kevin Whitehead, there is some good background information on Delius.

Sort of interesting. I wonder what tunes they played.

I have the Freeman disc. I have not listened to it on a while, but recall enjoying it.

I gifted my 3 CD set to my uncle who is a big Lee Morgan fan.

I collect of lot of unreleased live recordings and have never seen this personnel on a Rollins performance.

I will probably be in NY Friday and I am tempted to go see the film. Oops ... just checked ticket availability ... unfortunately sold out for my preferred time.

It does not look that way. I went ahead and ordered. I have been listening all day while I work.

I just ordered Asha, Washington Suite and Treasures.

I never heard of Lloyd McNeill before today. Streaming Treasures right now on Napster. The first track alone is enough to convince me I need to pick up some of his music.

I don't think it is scheduled to be published until January 2022?
