  4. thanks. ya know i never get bored with this album. i was watching VH-1 Classic the other day and they played a clip (B&W) of them doing "Fire" on some TV show. the lip-sync was awful, but they were going crazy on stage. it was a hoot.

  9. the flu strain out there now is the A-Fujian which is NOT covered in the flu shot. the CDC thinks it MIGHT help. my 2 kids and i are just now getting over it. personally i'm reluctant to get vaccinated. seen to many bad thing...remember SWINE FLU? the shot was worse than the disease.
  10. howdy, as we say out west.
  11. i ran alot in the past, quit and got fat, lost weight and now i run again! to answer your question, it's going to be a matter of increasing your millage and days running, plus listening to your body. take your resting pulse rate every morning before getting out of bed. write that number down. if you notice your pulse rate increasing by about 10 beats, take the next day or so off (until the rate retuns to normal). an increase in heart rate indicates overtraining and will lead to injury, and also slow your progress. i usually run 3 days on 1 day off. i run one long run per week. i doubt if i'll ever race again, but i enjoy running. BTW-the link brother Johnson posted is a great site.
  12. downloading now!
  13. i'm guessing they see my e-mail addy and auto-delete my mail to them, but i write weekly to get them to buy 'You Bet Your Life'. funniest friggin show ever, IMO.
  14. i voted for the orgy of paper...i have 2 kids. if it was up to me, we'd open them one at a time, throughout the day, and savor each and every one. doubt that'll happen anytime soon.
  15. thanks for the link, Jim. that was a great interview.
  16. MERRY BIRTHDAY!!!
  17. Lotus is my favorite live album of all time. i've seen Santana a dozen or so time over the years and never have been dissapointed. his live shows are amazing.
  18. i opened a gatefold album (Spirit) a couple of weeks ago...2 seeds fell out. i guess i haven't listened to that album in a while.
  19. great first post JazzLoft. maybe your second post will be about an after Christmas sale. (was that sarcastic enough?)
  20. here's Jesse and me from last year, i've since cut my hair and lost about 50 lbs.
  21. do dirty limericks count?
  22. well, my flame resistant suit is on.... i love Carlos Santana. IMO, Carlos has never made a bad album. i'm with Jazzshrink and Jazzbo on this one. i'd love for Carlos to do an album of covers. he references tons of jazz tunes in his live solos anyway.
