  1. I could have sworn I recommended that one to you about 5 years ago.... Great album, let me say that again, GREAT album. Stan the Man INDEED!
  2. Tony was in JT? I've never heard that before. What are the specifics? Thanks. He was in the band for 2 weeks, just long enough to appear in the Rock N Roll Circus film (although the band was miming the performance). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyzfD0VqDW8
  3. This picture is a pretty good shot of the thimbles that Tony wears on his fingers so he can play guitar. His middle finger is cut off just above the joint, his ring finger is missing the tip. He had to re-learn to play guitar after the accident and has no sense of touch in those fingers...I can't imagine playing the guitar without being able to feel the strings.
  4. As did Anita O'Day.
  5. By odd coincidence, today also marks the 29th anniversary of Bon Scott's death. Happy Birthday Tony and R.I.P. Bon!
  6. No, he's the guy standing up behind him.
  7. Tony Iommi - Born Feb 19, 1948 - Birmingham England Here's a picture of Tony with the "Rockin Chevrolets" in 1963 (4th from left)
  8. I've been trying to learn "21st Century Schizoid Man" and it's driving me NUTS!!!!!
  9. Hopefully one of you guys will get it at a decent price.
  10. Not jazz (sorry), but Robin Trower is playing Austin on June 4th.
  11. Not in my budget, but I will supporting the good Dr. in spirit. I did go see him on tour last year and purchased the last two albums, that will have to do for now. He's still an amazing performer at the very top of his game.
  12. Up Get it cheap while you can
  13. Storm Of The Century - mini series written by Stephen King, quite well made for a TV movie.
  14. Little Walter is "da bomb".
  15. Agreed! There must be at least 20 or 30 of us out there that love the pre-50's era of Blue Note.
  16. Awesome Lighthouse picture Aggie! If I ever win the lottery I'm going to buy one and convert it into a house.
  17. Cherish the time you had and the love of music you shared.
  18. Go to a dentist and convince them you need surgery on something, they'll hook ya right up.
  19. I've never tried smoking it that way....
  20. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:L:LCA:US:1123 I will be adding more rare titles in the coming days.
  21. No gigs for me yet this year, I'm lucky to be eating as it is.
  22. If I was smokin' pot instead of taking these nasty, doctor-prescribed, perfectly legal, addictive tranquilizers...I'd be a much happier person.

    CD-Rs

I've never had a single CDR "go bad" and I've been making discs since the late 90's.
  24. ...and as I've stated about 1000 times before. The "background music" portion is less than 5% of what the company does. When they re-branded in the late 90's they seriously considered changing the name of the company (because of the misconception of what they do), but in the end realized that they were practically a household name...and of course we all know that bad publicity is better than none.
  25. Spent a WHOLE lot of time between 1980 & 1990 listening to those two. People can say whatever they want, but Halford is an amazing singer.
