  1. I have the Cherry Mosaic LP set and an original LP(they are still very affordable). As far as sound goes, the Mosaic is great for a reissue. Probably, no help as you are comparing the digital reissues.
  2. I have most of these and the one that stands out, for me, is Don Cherry - Symphony For Improvisers. A very different, but high quality BN, IMO. Judgement and Fuego are the no brainers, but SFI is the sleeper. The safe picks are Boss Horn and The Big Beat. Inventions And Dimensions is a flat out cool album.
  3. J.A.W. should field this one. And, how is your cigar supply holding up over there? I know you are probably still smoking Saddam's stash, but LMK if you or your buddies need a couple boxes.
  4. Ben Harper and the Blind Boys of Alabama: There Will Be A Light - 2005 Grammy Award Winner-Special Limited Edition 180 gram vinyl - mastered by Ron McMaster.
  5. Death jazz? That cover scares me.
  6. If the Sextet is with Pepper. I think "Chet' on Riverside is a very, very nice album, if super mellow. I have no idea about other Riversides.
  7. The Complete CBS Buck Clayton Jam Sessions A little tap dancing and Hawk seems to be in a class by himself.
  8. Try surface to Peru or the Far East......
  9. From: Melbourne via Wellington, Gisborne, London, Dunedin, Jupiter, New Orleans Give it a year and a half.
  10. Went to read the liner notes to a Great Jazz Trio(Eighty-Eight's Japan) LP and of course, they were in Japanese. Most of my Japanese LP's are reissues that left the liner notes intact on the back cover. Just wondering, are the liners to JRVG's and other similar reissues in Japanese only?
  11. Small company, loyal customers. I could understand turning down orders for 5 or 10, but 2??? I'd be pissed.
  12. The Complete Atlantic Recordings of Lennie Tristano, Lee Konitz & Warne Marsh (10 Q-LPs) Mosaic Records
  13. The first post in this thread makes no sense to me. Mosaic speculators?? Name one. I've kept my eye on OOP Mosaics, off and on, for years. I've only run across one speculator. Are you a speculator if you buy one copy to sell later?
  14. I'm assuming new SACD titles are history, also.
  15. If you were looking for original True Blue I could help you out. Guess you already have it. I would not be surprised to see Classic do BTTT 45RPM again. This time on 200G wonder vinyl and maybe in mono, to boot.

    Smokey's New Release

While you are picking up his latest CD, don't forget his soulful seafood!! Yummmmmmmmmy
  17. Mint vinyl 2nd pressings go for $10-20, screw Lonehill....FWIW
  18. Not the cd, but the double LP(with the same cover) always gets a side or two spun when I'm in an Ammons mood. I believe this has quite a few slower tempo tunes. For the up tempo stuff I lean towards the early Prestige sides.
  19. And, isn't there a movie coming out about him. Starring Brad Pitt.
  20. I finally have a bit of Chet in my collection via the Mulligan/Baker and Pepper Mosaics I've picked up fairly recently. Sounds like I need to get the live set next.
  21. Eagles Live..the song Seven Bridges Road
  22. After these Criss titles, I could see Classic staying with Imperial and issuing: LP-9027 - Jazz Of Two Cities - Warne Marsh Quintet LP-9043 - London Jazz - Dizzy Reece Quintet LP-9046 - Little Giant Of Jazz - Tubby Hayes Quartet
  23. Hey, you have to make that Spacedeck earn it's keep!
  24. Seals & Crofts
  25. The Eagles usually throw in some acoustic stuff. No harmony, but James Taylor may be to your liking.
