Has anyone done business with the CdJapan web-store?
Bluerein replied to Dmitry's topic in Offering and Looking For...
As much as I like Hiroshi and his service etc. I don't think we can give him all the credit for the fast shipments. One time you're lucky other time it get's hold up by customs or something else so it depends on the postal services (usually in you own country) I do believe the Japanese postal service is very good and reliable so there should be no hickups over there but over here in the Netherlands for instance.........I won't start. -
And again a remark which doesn't hold up......3 CD's with each about 60 minutes on them isn't "barely enough" imo. There is at least one unissued track and there might be more but that I don't know for sure. I didn't call anybody a liar just corrected the assumptions you made.

Mosaic big box sets
Bluerein replied to connoisseur series500's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
Trane123: are you shure this $100 certificate came from Mosaic? Or was it just a joke. -
oh and by the way.....Forget about a Lou Donaldson Argo select because MC doesn't like it.
-
Kyo (and others): I don't know where you got this crazy information about this Willette select but I can only agree with Chuck and tell you from the first hand this select has not been confirmed at all. If there's going to be a select of BFW it's going to be a Blue Note only affair (his albums, some unissued tracks and the Grant Green and Lou DOnaldson LP's which had him on it). So the Argo thing is completely made up by someone on the board as is the fact it will come out next year.

According to Mr. Tanno there are 151 tracks on this Japanese 18 CD set. If I count I come to roughly 120 tracks (including the Miles Davis Sessions on Prestige). What are these other tracks? False starts etc.? This new Japanese set is a reissue of the "older" Japanese 18 CD set (VICJ 60573-90(20 bit K2)). Does someone have this one who can confirm the tracks?

LF Lionel Hampton & Mingus Impulse mini LP CD's
Bluerein replied to Bluerein's topic in Offering and Looking For...
Up for the pre weekend (friday that is)!!!! A marvelous day to sell those CD's to me (come on you're not going to play them ever again anyway....) -
did your mother of father put it on?
-
isn't it time to bann this chewy caracter from the board? Everytime I (try to) read a posting by "it" I either don't understand it or am flabergasted by it in terms of idiotery.
-
I always wondered where ECM stood for.......Great CD set imo. Just forget the Lifetime link (as Jack says in his notes this is beyond that) and enjoy it on it's own merrits. Scofield hasn't been playing better than on this discs since years and there's Jack.......(no words needed to express his playing on this one)

Accelent assumption Jason!!! This is rocket science if there ever was such a thing.

Grant Green Club Mozambique UK release
Bluerein replied to The Magnificent Goldberg's topic in Re-issues
It's from mono tapes........ I must have misread the file MC sent me (it was kinda scrambled on my computer). Luckily there was room for more tracks. -
FS S Stitt/Tolliver/W Shaw/C Jordan Cds.......
Bluerein replied to Jazztropic's topic in Offering and Looking For...
The Stitt/Green date isn't even a Roulette date at all. It's originally a Prestige session. Don't know how it could be reissued by Roulette. Must be something like the Cannonball story when he moved from Riverside to Capitol. -

Are there other reissues in the same batch (if there is a batch in the first place)?
