I've always found it strange Sony US made this a 2 cd set while the Japanese MasterSound edition is on 1 (same number of tracks and timings).

The Kelly Piano Interpretations and the George Wallington are Japanese remasterings(Yoshio Ozaki did it). The Kenny Drew from this series (not available here) is also by him so not all are McMasters but indeed some are.

Please note most are Sample copy's. Not that it is a problem but just to let you know. ALso some are not new and sealed and are missing obi's (like I care.....)

It was not Fresh Sound who put out all these RCA cd's but RCA/BMG Spain. You're talking about the involvement of Jori Pujol (owner of Fresh Sound) who only produced them for release (just like our own MC does for the BN material etc.).

Given the rarety of that Hank LP it's likely it will pass the 4K mark easily...... Fo once the description of this LP is correct so really rare.

What's Steve Kuhn's involvement in the Charles McPherson CD? Did he write the tunes?

MG: of course CDU has a better deal with the USPS with such large volumes. Packaging of Mosaic is also more expensive than CDU's.

I'd buy all his hair in a second. I really like the yellowish color of them (smoking does some good after all....)

To put things into perspective......Mosaic is loosing money on international shipments so yes they are high but no it's not a rip-off.

It's a 2 CD set for sure (Amazon and CDUniverse are wrong about that). My info said it has bonus material too. Let's wait until the tracklisting is available. I doubt it will be released in March. May is more likely.

Don't believe the timings on the net (or even on booklets, etc.) I've had the 2 in my player and saw the timings and listened too. But go ahead and do as you like. The warning is indeed valid.

Robert H.: please correct your posting because it's not half a minute but only 2 seconds which are missing from the track Stairways to the Stars. Indeed it hears like a mastering error. On the Heavyweight box set it has the correct ending (as I said which is 2 seconds longer).

I'm surprised to see these on the Dusty Groove web site. This one (with some others) are Tower Records Japan exclusive issued cd's. Others in the series are Doldinger, McFarland, Mel Brown, Jimmy Smith).
