  1. As a Los Angeles native, my teams are the local teams. Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, Angels, Raiders, Rams, Bruins, Trojans...in that order. In other words, I'll root for the Clippers as long as they're not playing the Lakers, who are my number one team. I never played hockey or soccer so I don't care much for either one but I do understand the basic rules and appreciate both sports. Many UCLA and USC fans have an intense hate for each other, but I'd rather see a team from nearby win than one from far away. While I root for my own teams I am for the most part indifferent to other teams, and will even have favorite players on the teams I dislike the most. I am fan of basketball, baseball, and football first, my teams second. I always enjoy to watch highlights and will watch the playoffs and championship series regardless if my team is in it or not. The teams which have caused me the most pain as a fan are: Celtics, Pistons, Suns, Giants, Padres, Patriots, Broncos, Chiefs, and Chargers--but I pretty much don't like every other team too.
  2. What a game! Congrats Giants fans! I was pulling for Favre, but I love Eli Manning proving me wrong about his character and performing well. Anyone think he had Peyton on the headset?
  3. Congratulations Conn and all Patriots fans on the unprecedented 18-0 season!
  4. Erm, *crunch crunch* nothing! *shuffles tray of ice cubes under his chair*

    That Gospel Pocket

I'm not prepared debate your assertion about swinging, but I sure like the singing! My toe was tappin', does that=swing?

    Take Your Time!

    Powerful singing.
  7. Ice chewing, anyone?
  8. What are you trying to say about ghost of miles, Jim?
  9. Oh, I know Webber's done--but the Lakers could stand him out there with a cane and he'd turn the ball over less than Kwame.
  10. If last night's pathetic effort against the Phoenix Suns is any indication, eight weeks sans Bynum will leave the Lakers fighting for the #8 seed. The void left by the budding superstar center has managed to actually make Kwame Brown look worse than ever, an amazing accomplishment. I hope they begin starting Ronny Turiaf, and I'm hoping for the return of Chris Mihm from injury. I heard a rumor the Lakers might sign Chris Webber, and I was actually hoping that would happen. It's better than watching the Kwame turnover show.
  11. I'm surprised by all the chatter coming out of San Diego, since I don't think they'll hobble into Foxborough with a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Tomlinson, Rivers, Gates, all not 100%? They're not going to pull off two miracles in a row.
  12. I have several of the LaCie 250gb externals, and although I haven't had any problems I have heard from reliable sources that these drives often fail. I back up all my files to DVD-R, just to be safe.
  13. Once they make a 160gb iPhone, I'll upgrade from my 80gb video iPod.
  14. The Heat better start winning soon, SS1. Shaq came out firing on all cylinders last night and they still lost. They stink. Expect the Lakers to plummet out of that #1 spot with Bynum injured. Their last OT win over the Sonics was like a flashback to last season, horrible defense and Kobe shot the ball 44 times.
  15. Suddenly, Terrell Owens seems so much more sane to me.
  16. Happy Birthday, HBJ!
  17. That's scary. She looks like Gary Sinise.
  18. Belated Birthday Salute to Bleaden!
  19. Happy Birthday, Clunky!
  20. Waterboard the perverted sonofabitch! Oh, wait...
  21. I imagine Britney's a spoiled brat whose only reaction to not getting her way is to pitch a fit. She's never learned anything different. Hell, it always worked in the past! Mix in some booze and things really get ugly and irrational. With all the money and power and people kissing her behind, in her own mind she's probably never been wrong no matter how poor her decisions or how harsh the consequences. I'd guess her reaction to everything which has transpired recently is to be indignant. Then again, I don't know her or care and could be wrong.
  22. The dance tunes are only as hip as the DJ involved, such as the one JSngry came across at his gig. There are dance tunes created with better attention to music as music, but they must be sought out. More often than not, the more artistically inclined pop is not what is being pushed by the majors to pop radio. Isn't that true of every genre?
  23. My account was freaking out last week, Joe. A white screen with loading in the corner for an extended period, then a warning accompanied by a link to a "basic HTML view." It has since been corrected. Gary Sisco at JC is also having difficulties, so it's not just us.
  24. Beck's hooked up...he's a Scientologist. Beck's one of my favorite current musicians, despite the Scientology thing. Bjork does her best Sean Penn! Sweet.
