    I know we're not linking boots/etc. so I won't do that here, but I am curious if anyone' s heard the 1971 Town Hall solo concert that's recently been put out on CD. Saw a used copy and was curious if it's worth picking up (therefore avoiding paying the bootleggers) or if the sound is abominable.

    Mental health issues, from what I understand. I was dissuaded from trying to interview him by some of his former collaborators. Said he wasn't really together enough to talk. Too bad.

    Brackeen was homeless recently, I know that much. I wanted to connect with him but it seemed nearly impossible to do so.

    Service was excellent but I must confess that I wasn't too keen on this album by The Freestyle Band I bought from them. Have had the LP for years and it's a favorite. Different strokes for different folks.

    It's an excellent record. I have a Steve Lacy on VIK Italy, Disposability... though it may have been a budget LP when it came out in 1965, it sure isn't one now!

    Oh nice! I saw the trio (minus any local ringers) in Austin, and they were very good. Been meaning to check out the Levis; thanks for the reminder.

    What's that thing called where you have a bunch of work to do, are reasonably rested, and have a big cup of coffee after work and then proceed to almost instantly fall asleep for a long stretch? Yeah, no more of that.

    Baxter's is my favorite; I think it's the most stretched-out of their early albums. I also like Volunteers a lot.
