Wonder if it's some additional live material? Count me in as a Miles fan of those years - fond memories of catching the concerts during that period and as Ubu says, the likes of 'Tutu' and 'Amandla' are not to be sniffed at. I will be interested in getting hold of this one.

Just ordered a new bottle - my last lot in the fridge is well past its use by date. Works well with the VPI 16.5 and as mentioned, quite good value.

Just checking against my NY USA stereo 'ear' copy. Also a very pleasant listening experience. For 'character' and bite it has the edge I think but for sonic level of detail the MM wins. Either way, both are great. Thinking about it - I have this one on Conn and Mosaic Select CDs, a Pathe Marconi LP, King LP, NY USA and Music Matters. Dammitt - I need a Liberty..

Failing that, the King pressing of 'Destination Out!' is pretty nice.. Just out of curiosity I've popped my copy of the Music Matters on deck. Spinning Moncur's 'Love and Hate' the first thing that comes across is the incredible sonic detail of Roy Haynes' tom toms and brushes. Can't recall the original LP ever capturing that in such fidelity but I'll check against the NY USA for further impressions. Can't go wrong with the MM - although the frequent disk turning may well be a negative !

Isn't that one of the LPs that Paul Buckmaster spun for Miles before the 'On The Corner' sessions?

Sad news to come in from work to. What an inspiration and a stalwart on the UK scene he was. Some landmark recordings there with Joe Harriott and Michael Garrick. Great biography too in which he came across as a gem of a guy. Electrical Engineering's loss was British jazz's gain. RIP - I will spin 'Movement' tonight. Just recall that the last time I saw him was at the Ian Carr tribute, in the front row (he was introduced).
