  1. Good to hear ! I'm still recovering from the 20k we covered in Tokyo !
  2. Keno Duke/Jazz Contemporaries 'Reasons In Tonality' (Strata East) Followed by Lalo Schifrin 'The Dissection and Reconstruction of ... etc' (Australian World Record Club). Late 60s Aussie version of the Schifrin classic. Doesn't seem to feature on the internet for cover art !
  3. Oliver Nelson's playing on soprano is very under-rated. Much of his best work on this instrument is on the Mosaic set.
  4. Colonel Blimp Colonel Sanders Pharoah Sanders
  5. Romania But there again, my excuse is that I have just returned from holiday. I was pushed over the edge in Vancouver..
  6. The extra tracks are most definitely up to the standard of the original LP tracks. Essential !

Interesting - decimalisation came in around 1972 so one must suspect that this one was a deletion from the early to mid 70s. Wish I had a Tardis to snag such gems at this sort of price !
  8. That's certainly a great one and in my top few Wheelers as well. Love the opening track and Vesala shines throughout. Started with a USA pressing and now own a Japanese pressing. May one day try a German pressing just for comparisons sake as it is a gem... The German pressing of that one sounds predictably nice !
  9. Weren't those pressed somewhere in Lancashire? I have the feeling that it was something to do with that budget label Everest.
  10. Belated Happy Birthday Ghost !
  11. A hint at closer cultural ties that used to exist? Congrats anyway! Thanks - yep, one of the LPs still has the Chappell of London export stickers for Sydney on it !
  12. John Eardley 'Hey There' Esquire 10" in not far off mint vinyl - 9 NZ dollars !! (£5) Kenny Graham/Don Rendell "Tenorama" on Nixa/Lansdowne series for 29 dollars, again in great shape for a nearly 60 year old UK LP. A nice haul of UK LPs located many thousands of miles from their origin !

So maybe the story is true then that the master tapes have been lost?
  14. Another fan of Peter Clayton here. Charles Fox too - I have some tapes of his 'The Arranger In Jazz' series for Radio 3 somewhere. Always a great education listening to his shows. Alan Dell's big band show was always good value back in the day too...
  15. Nick Clegg Cleggy Compo

The early Stan Tracey's?... there's plenty of them that have never seen the light of day on CD. The Big Brass 'Latin American Caper' would get my vote.
  17. Conrad Black Captain Black James Blood Ulmer
  18. Could be worse - Pathe Marconi DMM?
  19. That is one damn good Freddie Hubbard/James Spaulding album. I have a NY USA mono of it back in base camp..

Don't recall them ever notifying by email when I've ordered from them. It just turns up.
  23. I didn't when I first heard it on a Liberty cassette. Still a major favourite !
