  1. Maintaining the 70s retro feel:- Alice Cooper from 1971 now on !
  2. Just the thing for this stormy recessionary weekend !
  3. Shere Hite Shari Lewis Lambchop :rsmile:
  4. Vaguely remember it. The problem I have with some of those old dramas is the pace of it - not that that's at all wrong (in fact IMO it can be very right) but we are so used now to seeing fast paced stuff with the inevitable sub-woofer noise in the background that it comes as a bit of a shock ! Wasn't it broadcast around the same time as 'The Beidebecke Connection'?
  5. That clinches it !
  6. Great album though this is, I'm curious as to why they are reissuing this one again and not the equally fine 'Polarization'?
  7. 'Black Satin' follwed by 'Blue In Green' has got to be the craziest Milesian track listing ever !
  8. "Blue mode". Never really warmed to it (have the 'rare groove' LP). Always thought that the best thing about it was the Mati Klarwein cover art. Maybe I'll give it another try. It sez "Forlenza Venoza Associates" on mine. Was Mati Klarwein Associates? MG Artist Bob Venoza was a friend/associate of Mati Klarwein. Venoza must have done the sleeve design using art by Mati.
  9. Mr T Stanley T Tommy T
  10. Roger Whittaker Andy Williams Val Doonican
  11. Mingus 'A Modern Jazz Symposium Of Poetry And Music With....' (Bethlehem DG mono) 'Scenes In The City'
  12. Not forgetting some of the 70s Duke Pearson recordings with vocal groups, included on the Duke Pearson Mosaic Select.

  14. Russell Gunn Peter Gunn Duane Eddy Duane Tatro Throughly Modern Millie Millie Tant
  15. See any more $10 copies of that one in Paris, Guy? :rsmile:
  16. Quincy Jones 'Smackwater Jack' (UK A&M, stereo)
  17. Sounds similar to a cough that I've had for the past couple of weeks and that has been a pig to shift and resulted in an accumulation of 'gunk'. It's at it's worst at night and has on a couple of occasions woken me up due to breathing difficulties. Almost certainly picked up from a woman working behind me who seems to be a germ magnet for everything going and was talking the other day about her kids picking up chicken pox . Great ! Hope it sorts out soon..
  18. Good news - glad you're feeling a bit better.
  19. Jethro The Yetties Adge Cutler
  20. Great news - long live Early Records !
  21. Belated very best wishes from me too ! You are now in a select club.
  22. 'Record Supervision' was Dennis Preston's operation so it must have been recorded down there in the basement of the Lansdowne Studio. Nice one ! He mainly sold sessions to Columbia/EMI UK but also to other parties too I believe.
  23. $723! That's $72.30 per CD of course. Jesus. Must be bankers bonus season. Wan**ers !
  24. Yet again I kick myself for not picking up the nice Liberty vinyl of this in Mole Jazz years ago, when I had the chance. Doh !
