  1. Yeah - great band. I saw them around the time that 'EB II' came out - Berg had just replaced George Coleman on tenor. Vol 3 is the only one I am missing on vinyl. Anyone got a spare Timeless pressing? Bought (and still have, of course) the first vol after Humphrey Lyttelton played a track from what was then a newly released LP on his Monday evening show. Uncanny ! Same here. I've got the feeling that the track in question might have been 'Mode For Joe'.
  2. Ha! So you got the upgraded rig! How is it sounding? Absolutely flamin' phenomenal ! :rsmile:

  15. You know all of us Organissimites are sick puppies when we start saying things like "ONLY a SMALL collection of 1,000 CDs"! Ain't that the truth !
  16. Yes, seems so. Came out well over 10x what it should be so goodness knows what they've done with it. It's at times like this that you need a US mailing address. I hope no-one from over this side of the pond has been unfortunate enough to pull the trigger without checking the total !
  17. Barabara Thompson's Paraphenalia 'Live In Concert' (MCA 2LP) Hornchurch, 1980. Very nicely recorded. Various Artists 'Jazz Explosion' (UK Columbia Lansdowne, stereo). Excellent Lansdowne series sampler with Mike Taylor, Guy Warren, Rendell/Carr, Stan Tracey, Indo-Jazz Fusions etc. Harold Land 'Xocia's Dance' (Muse) - with Bobby Hutcherson
  18. Four Tops Stylistics Delphonics
  19. Anyone seeking Duane Tatro's 'Jazz For Moderns', the Honi Gordon and a whole plethora of K-2s might find the selection interesting.. :rsmile: Their international shipping summations are well and truly screwed up though. Do you get a specially chartered jet for your $1k? Caution advised !
  20. Hilton Ruiz 'Strut' (RCA Novus). Great band, with Sam Rivers, Dick Griffin, Lew Sollof and Mongo Santamaria ! Soft Machine 'Fifth' (UK CBS stereo). Stylophonic prog-rock bliss ! good news - next to brownie and Chuck, you've probably got the heaviest vinyl collection here. Yeah - after this deck tweek I'm gonna throw my CDs away. :rsmile:
  21. Sadly, the shipping hit for overseas will prohibit me from ordering. I tried an order and it came out to over $1000 just for shipping costs alone.. Best get the flowers and chocolates ordered up front..
