  1. That's always been the problem here, too. Too many telephone sanitiser qualifications. One good reason to be an Engineer though.
  2. Duane Tatro's 'Jazz For Moderns' (Contemporary DG mono)
  3. That's probably true. A lot of idiots have been buying second holiday-homes and buy-to-lets and leveraging themselves into the stratosphere. They will be well and truly shafted over the next few years.
  4. Shelly Manne 'Son Of Gunn' (Contemporary DG mono)
  5. Definitely time to stock up on those cans of beans..
  6. PM on its way re: 'The Flip', 'Soul Symphony' and 'Coldwater Flat'.
  7. Damn. I haven't even cracked open the cellophane on those two yet ! What??? And miss out on some vintage Bing Crosby??? OK - Opening them up is this weekend's job.
  8. In the bath !
  9. The 'Clap Hands, Hear Comes..' has been reissued on CD and LP by Rearward/Schema but I guess it must now be OOP. The reissue on LP sounds pretty damn good !
  10. Any particular stinkers in particular that should be avoided on this series?
  11. Still my favourite Norma disc...and I'm a major Norma fan. As opposed to a Norma Major fan? No, like John I prefer Edwina!!!!!!!! No votes for Norma Lamont?
  12. Gandalf?
  13. It looks like it might be from one of those late night "arts" preview programmes that the Beeb puts out. If its BBC2 then that would be very likely the case. Likely in that case that he only had time for the one tune. The guitarist looks like a very young Phil Robson - though I may be wrong.
  14. Claude Williamson Claude Williams Tillmon Williams
  15. Damn. I haven't even cracked open the cellophane on those two yet !
  16. I have to say - I like it. Always viewed this one as a prototype run with smaller group for the SABA LPs of the late 60s.
  17. Half Man Half Biscuit Cookie Monster Honey Monster
  18. Pied Piper of Hamelin Simple Simon The Pieman
  19. At least one of the tracks (the Karl Drevo ballad - not sure of the title off of the top of my head) was re-recorded some years later by the CBBB (I think with Tony Coe taking the tenor solo part). Will have to check.
  20. Didn't someone on this board once mention that the 'Golden Eight' mono original was one of the rarest of the BN NY USA pressings? Alan Songer, perhaps?
  21. Good find ! I don't know about "find" because it wasn't cheap... but the Google search engine beats eBay quite frequently. I think it usually goes for the £70-80 pound mark so yes, not cheap. Oh hang on - the pound has just crashed. So it is cheap !
  22. Fantastic - thanks for that. Never even knew that the BBC had filmed him.
  23. Michael Garrick Band 'Home Stretch Blues' (UK Argo, stereo)
