Okay, so when the set comes out we're supposed to put all comments here? How is that necessarily going to help someone find it. There's a thread for Vol. 1. Just doesn't make sense to me. You're working yourself too hard, imo. Whatever.

Neither do I... Both sets from Antibes? Sure? That would be just great! Those are great concerts. (Though I think some of the fall concerts are even better!) Yes, I do agree - to me, the November tour is kind of the main oeuvre of the Lost Quintet - so the balance of that new set is somewhat off, I find. Well, if they dig up and clean off another video, maybe there will be a second volume from the fall!

Sort of disappointed that a thread started about this set was closed. Yes, we are discussing the set here, but this thread is about speculation on other upcoming threads as well. There's a specific thread about the first volume on the board, and this one wasn't closed. I don't get the rationale.

That may be so, but fact is that they abandoned a Henderson set when they decided to go ahead with the Hawkins box. I have no idea whether they will reconsider or not, but if they do, it won't be any time soon. I was not disputing that. But they obviously don't have a rule about reissuing the same material within sets. . .

Well, there's material that Mosaic has issued on different sets, for example Blue Note sides that appeared in both Hodes and Bechet sets. I think the real rule is that they won't re-release a set they've already made and "sold out". And in fact Hampton-led material is in both this set and the Hampton set.

Both sets from Antibes? Sure? That would be just great! Both sets from Antibes would fit on two cds, so that will be complete I wager. Not sure why the Stockholm isn't complete. . . I'm sure the notes will make mention. I'm eager for this set!

"Rain, Rain Go Away" and "Summertime" were done with Basie guys "away from Basie."

Won't be populated by me! I still use the old fashioned stereo systems. Really good sound on this set. Andreas Meyer did another great job.

I've listened to the first two discs, twice each. I think the sound quality is excellent for this early material.

Just got mine in the mial via USPS. #390. Looks great. Unfortunately, have to run off to a friend's for the evening.

Amazon has a used copy at a not too exorbitant price, and emusic has it available as MP3s. So does amazon, but the price is not right.

Likewise I'm all caught up (and even bought the last Dave's Trip, which isn't that good). Ah well! Good sale indeed.
