  1. MG was a pleasure to meet and entertain in my home. It was even fun to haul him around town a little on the back of my motorcycle. He's a brave man! I really think he's one of the finest music fans I've ever met and I hope he can return to this conversation soon.
  2. Wow. Bass is strong on the DVD I have in the Complete Album Collection.
  3. Can't stand Brent. I generally listen to Dead '65 to '78 and that's IT. I have some recent Road Trips I'm probably going to sell because they're with Brent and just not happening for me. Listening to the second Wembley show from the '72 box. Great stuff!
  4. Somehow, somewhere, this means someone has begun work on their time machine with a new enthusiasm.
  5. Watched the season premiere of Harry's Law. I think it's going to be a good season. Watched the premiere of Whitney on Demand because a friend told me it was good. Well, I love the guy but he was wrong. Though she did look pretty hot in that nurse's uniform. Looking forward to James Spader on The Office tonight, and Fringe tomorrow!
  6. Me either. And I still don't.
  7. Well, I looked through that thread and there really WASN'T much info therein. Anyway, the sound is excellent. I really like the music, and would guess that if you enjoyed the concert, you'd like these discs. They're all of a high quality level in my opinion.
  8. Some info in this thread: I really like this one. I think you will too.
  9. My box finally arrived. Wow! Quite a nice set!
  10. Yes, but we don't have to be so nasty to each other. That's my main "turn off" in all this. I do think that the venom towards some artists is a bit much, but when it's coupled with real nastiness from posters towards other posters who may not share an opinion. . . it's even worse. And that happens here, often enough.
  11. Never really paid any attention to them. They had a good run.
  12. Yes, we're not likely to see those in this series at all. I need to get the Jamal.
  13. Awesome gif. Reminds me of my last cat, Mr. P. C.
  14. Got my shipping notice this morning.
  15. Yes, one (two?) Dick Picks and those you mention. . .but not all or many were complete shows. And the releases sound a lot better now than they did then. And for many fans this is THE best tour. My complete set arrives Thursday.
  16. I'll be seeing Drive soon. Looking forward to "Ides of March" next month as well.
  17. Because my girlfriend wanted to give this show a shot, I've watched the first two episodes. Pretty lame. Really silly and implausible. Maybe I won't havet to watch many more. . . .
  18. It's a very cool cd. I ordered the deluxe version of Heritage. . . hasn't shipped yet.
  19. Great news about Europe '72 shows: You clamored. You cried. You called so loudly for single shows from the much-touted tour of '72, we had no choice but to listen! We're proud to announce that we'll be releasing all 22 Europe '72 shows individually, in the order that they occurred, by the end of the calendar year. So if you missed the chance to buy the big one, wanted to collect them all without breaking the bank in one fell swoop, or you're just starting to hear how amazing these shows really sound... you can now get on the bus with first 6 shows from Wembley, Newcastle, Aarhus, and Tivoli. Next stop: Germany and France.
  20. Has that suitcase from "Europe" arrived yet? If so you have a wee bit of listening. If not, there's always more critical Winterland flute level listening. No, the suitcase is due Thursday.
  21. Quickly watched "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" on Blu-Ray. Better than "Spartacus: Bood and Sand". . . and shorter.
  22. Yes, "Cue for Saxophone," Cue Porter being the Hodges nome de plume. Sorry, I always think of it as a Hodges session.
  23. Well the Hodges is a great session, I have it on a London cd. I ordered this set via Worlds Records (not the Fresh Sounds version) and it is in the mail to me.
