TM, I can't remember if you liked the Small Group Mosaic or not. It's similar in many ways to the Mainstream material, with differences as well in instrumentation, material, etc. I think one who liked one would like the other.
Well, we now know that our Bill Barton is that Bill Barton. My best wishes for justice for all involved. May whatever good can come from this investigation and prosecution come, and quickly.
I ended up ordering this via Worlds Records. There's enough here that I didn't have, and those that haven't been out on cd separately before. . . probably won't be.
They're interesting. Not quite as adventurous as the Columbia material, but not mainstream material either. Worth a listen. One of these (No Coast Jazz) recently was reissued in Japan.
Well, in a way I care about Scientology, I saw it take over the life of one of my best friends in the 'eighties, but he's managed to climb up the ladder in the "church" since then and seems happy, what can I say. It's such SciFi BS though.
Watching Ancient Aliens, Season One on Blu-Ray. I find the theories entertaining, if not dispelling all doubt. Still I love to watch the many sequences featuring ancient monumental architecture and artifacts, in high definition. Fascinating.
I like the free jazziest and most acoustically jazzy Chick. The two solo albums on ECM are favorites. I really like the Circle material and the "IS" material. Material with Flora and Airto. And Origins. And he was simply bubbling with energy and ideas with Miles.
Going to play some Chick today.
You can't buy it now. It's sold out. Was 450. I think you may be able to buy the music only version, 73 discs, for the same price. Doesn't have the trunk, book, etc. That was limited to, I believe, 7200 copies. Sold out literally in days.
Well, I wouldn't be surprised if a moderator doesn't come along to point out there's a Grateful Dead thread where this probably beglongs. I'm not he!
I debated getting this set and caved and mine has not yet arrived, I think it's on the way, but it's hard to tell with dead.net. From all the reports on the Hoffman board it's a winner! Europe '72 was one of my favorite of the official releases of the time, and I've all the other officially released material from this tour, and some audience recordings. Looking forard to this!
