  2. Have a wonderful moldy figue day and many happy returns!
  3. Thanks for the tip, jazzbo. I've just ordered two from Amazon.co.uk...I only wish they cost the same in £ as you can get them for in $!!!! Cool. I used these when Helen and I were living in Houston during her lymphoma treatment. I spent a lot of time in waiting rooms and hospital rooms so I downnloaded a lot of Grateful Dead shows and then made artwork at night, burned them to cdr and filed them in these boxes. Kept me occupied and not thinking of certain things. They work really well for storage, they hold up pretty darned well.

Ah, those Brunies sides will be great to have on one cd. The nine Nichols cds are great.
  5. I like that movie as well.
  6. I don't know, I LIKE the overdubbed Half Note tunes. But I'm passing on this, at least for now. I have almost all of it in nice enough versions to hang onto.
  7. That's a very good book.
  8. Scott is a marvel. He appeared on the second recording of my two friends' duo, WD-41. And they may do a live performance together this fall.
  9. I'm watching Nash Bridges, Season 3 (silly fun show) and am about to start last season of Sons of Anarchy on Blu-Ray.
  10. I have about a dozen of these jam-packed with Grateful Dead shows. Work nicely. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00062UW5A/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000E95O1M&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0MWVJRP8HDW4EQBNN8MC
  11. Me too. Great stuff. . . I'ave a bit of an issue with the drums, but that's just my personal thing. Also really enjoying Lovano's latest.
  12. Look at post 135.
  13. Thanks for the headsup!
  14. I'm a Spike Lee fan. And I guess I'd like to see his characters as more in the service of the story's fate, though I think fass is right that Lee's just not as good as he could be in that regard. Lee has used excellent cinematographers and I think has directed actors and the lens quite well. I thought Malcolm X was a very powerful film, perhaps in some ways his best.
  15. I've given up on their reviews. Their policy takes all "personal opinion language" nearly complete out of the review, and just about anyone can review. I mean two or three times they even let me do it!
  16. They're very smartly collected all the Elric work into six volumes, and I started reading the first. I'm a fan of the series and it's fun re-reading.
  17. Many many happy happy returns!
  18. The US version and the TOCJ both sound decent.
  19. I think I might be missing one of the Paul Jeffrey Mainstreams. . . I like the two I have. A LOT.
  20. Love this one as well. Some previous discussion in this thread:
  21. Wow. I'm tempted, but I DO have the cd box and that should be enough.
  22. Hope you have a wonderful day and many many happy happy returns!
  23. Many many happy returns!
  24. I've only ever heard mono versions.
