  1. I've seen a bunch of these over the past couple of years and I always end up in hysterics!
  2. Steven Wilson in LA - Day 2: Recording 'The Watchmaker'
  3. Well, there you have it - the anodized gold pick guard rocks! Thanks, Lon.
  4. Yikes!
  5. Finally got it. WELL worth $400, if not much more. The only negatives I read in the online reviews are from people who want to replace the gold aluminum pick guard (usually with tortoise). Personally, I think it's one of the defining points of the instrument. [excuse me while I take a "Pipeline" break ...]
  6. If I understand correctly, the biggest problem with Spotify and others is that the artists get next to nothing from this system. For their sake, I hope something gets worked out.
  7. Just got back from Scofield, Swallow, & Stewart at Yoshi's. Very enjoyable and the band was obviously having a good time. Check 'em out if they come your way.
  8. New Dylan "Tempest" - $5 on Amazon this week. Amazon also having a $5 sale on selected BNs.
  9. Actually..............we still don't know (for sure)

    Ricky Ford

Just DL'd Manhattan Blues. Thanks for the heads up - and thanks for this thread. I always liked Ricky, but he's so far off the radar I forget about him.
  11. I predict that I will "re-discover" Graham Parker and the Rumour, since they have a new album coming out and I just got tickets to see them at the Fillmore in December.
  12. Here's a nice piece about the book: Michael Chabon talks of 'Telegraph Avenue'
  13. Yes..........Live at Carnegie.
  14. "The Crazy World of Arthur Brown" Available as import only. Always has been as far as I can tell.
  15. Those Moby Grape albums have been hard to get for MANY years. My best recollection of the situation is that their former manager owns the rights and has been fighting with the band over them for decades. Several years back there was a VERY short window when a couple of them were released, but before long they were pulled off the market..........again.
  16. Yes......I think that IS real!
  17. Ger-ald!! Ger-ald!! Ger-ald!!
  18. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just have a couple that I never play. Thanks, guys. I will 'only' have 3 when that ship comes in. You guys probably have many more. [that's if you don't count my high school Fender Malibu and re-shaped, re-finished (and in dire need of fretwork) 60's Tele - both living in the closet] That Gretsch is amazing! Very impressive collection.
  19. I finally got around to ordering the Jazzmaster. It's still on back order at Sweetwater, but should be in stock in the next week or two (or so they tell me). Ultimately, I couldn't NOT buy it.
  20. My friend's wife did the cover photography for all those Tony BNs.
  21. Yes, XXX-Large (or maybe even XXXX)
  22. Excellent show tonight. Coryell was integral to the performance, which might have been the reason for Friday's disappointment for jazzman. All 3 men were in great form and great spirits - as was the sold out crowd. Highlight: Coryell did a mind-blowing solo rendition of Ravel's Bolero like you've never heard before.
  23. The Beehive album IS excellent. I still have the vinyl. Never a big fan of the Coltrane album myself.
