    Ricky Ford

Just DL'd Manhattan Blues. Thanks for the heads up - and thanks for this thread. I always liked Ricky, but he's so far off the radar I forget about him.
  2. I predict that I will "re-discover" Graham Parker and the Rumour, since they have a new album coming out and I just got tickets to see them at the Fillmore in December.
  3. Here's a nice piece about the book: Michael Chabon talks of 'Telegraph Avenue'
  4. Yes..........Live at Carnegie.
  5. "The Crazy World of Arthur Brown" Available as import only. Always has been as far as I can tell.
  6. Those Moby Grape albums have been hard to get for MANY years. My best recollection of the situation is that their former manager owns the rights and has been fighting with the band over them for decades. Several years back there was a VERY short window when a couple of them were released, but before long they were pulled off the market..........again.
  7. Yes......I think that IS real!
  8. Ger-ald!! Ger-ald!! Ger-ald!!
  9. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just have a couple that I never play. Thanks, guys. I will 'only' have 3 when that ship comes in. You guys probably have many more. [that's if you don't count my high school Fender Malibu and re-shaped, re-finished (and in dire need of fretwork) 60's Tele - both living in the closet] That Gretsch is amazing! Very impressive collection.
  10. I finally got around to ordering the Jazzmaster. It's still on back order at Sweetwater, but should be in stock in the next week or two (or so they tell me). Ultimately, I couldn't NOT buy it.
  11. My friend's wife did the cover photography for all those Tony BNs.
  12. Yes, XXX-Large (or maybe even XXXX)
  13. Excellent show tonight. Coryell was integral to the performance, which might have been the reason for Friday's disappointment for jazzman. All 3 men were in great form and great spirits - as was the sold out crowd. Highlight: Coryell did a mind-blowing solo rendition of Ravel's Bolero like you've never heard before.
  14. The Beehive album IS excellent. I still have the vinyl. Never a big fan of the Coltrane album myself.
  15. I'm going to tonight's Yoshi's show WITH Coryell. Hoping it will be a little more inspiring than last night's show apparently was. BTW, Friday's show was originally billed with Julian Coryell in the guitar chair.
  16. Maybe because you wouldn't be able to print a label on one side?
  17. I decided to buy into the $25 plan. Seems reasonable enough to be able to have all that stuff available in the cloud. Nice to have the ability to store an unlimited number of other types of files, too.
  18. Who needs new registrations, anyway? We don't need no newbies!
  19. When I saw them at Yoshi's last year, he sat in on a few tunes.
  20. I need to get it - it DOES sound great.
  21. Upcoming this week: Thursday - The Iguanas Saturday - Larry Coryell, Joey Defrancesco, Jimmy Cobb
