  2. Free.....I thought you were CONNvienced. No?
  3. I've had the vinyl of Soaring for a LONG time. Haven't listened to it for a long time, either, but remember that it was a solid album.
  4. Glad I have the Select!
  5. Donald Byrd concert photos
  6. Nooooooooooooooooooo*d*i*c*k*oooooooojjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj!!! HAPPY B-DAY!!!
  7. That's too bad.........but I can't say I've been in there in over 5 years. It's more disturbing that Stacey's Bookstore is closing in March. I go there a lot at lunch time.
  8. Yes, I realize that BF- I was being facetious. (like Bruce Lundvall would actually call....yeah, right!) HELLyeah, he would, Free! He should be so lucky. You call HIM, OK?
  9. I had that problem with the checkbox question that would only let you answer one, too. Bad quality control. Also, a bad series of questions that seemingly ask the same thing over and over with only slightly different wording. I do surveys for a living - I would never have let that go out without better QC. Free........you won't get lunch with Bruce - that's only for residents of NYC. That's why they ask for your Zip. Sorry. You might get the CD set, though.
  10. It's a good one, Buzz - I've had it since November (well, the limited edition version anyway). Guests include Gavin Harrison, Theo Travis, Jordan Rudess, and Tony Levin. Good to know! I was listening to Warszawa today - good live album! Better than Coma Divine, I think.
  11. New Steven Wilson solo album "Insurgentes" now on eMusic (Aggggggggggggggggggggg!)
  12. That is pretty amazing (it was a good show, too). Gervais made a comment to her from the stage (as a presenter) at the Golden Globes about that.
  13. Don't remember where I read it (if here on O, sorry to repeat), but Bruford announced recently that he's retiring from live performing.
  14. Well.........it's "next year" already - March 18-22. Looking forward to another crazy few days.
  15. I Saved for Later on eMusic, too. Good to hear the rave reviews.
  16. Got that one. It's interesting - just him and Wilbur Ware.
  17. When's that Booby Fischer Select coming out?
  18. Noooooooooooo! I'll take THAT one!
  19. Interesting album by Chico Freeman just added - Morning Prayer. Review by Scott Yanow, All Music Guide Tenor saxophonist Chico Freeman's second recording as a leader (the first was an obscurity for Dharma in 1975) was originally cut for the Japanese Trio label before being made available domestically by India Navigation. An impressive effort, the adventurous music (five compositions by Freeman) features the leader on tenor, soprano, flute and pan-pipe, Henry Threadgill (switching between alto, baritone and flute), pianist Muhal Richard Abrams, bassist Cecil McBee (in the first of his many collaborations with Freeman), flutist Douglas Ewart, and the percussion of Steve McCall and Ben Montgomery. The performances are unpredictable yet logical inside/outside music. This set has not yet reappeared on CD.
  20. yeah.......well.........AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN, Aggggggggggdickgggggggggggg!
  21. When you've got it figured out, post the tabs here. THANKS!
