  1. I ABSOLUTELY would have been there, but we went on our first vacation in 2 years, so I missed it.
  2. I saw the Berkeley date on 7/16/77 included in that album. It was great, of course. I went partly because I never got to see Miles with the 60's Quintet, but was also a big fan of all those guys.
  3. Hotels and airfare are up to each one. You'd have to check. Most hotels don't look for payment until a day or so before check-in, though. United gave me credit for my flight to the 2020 BE Fest, so I used that for my 2022 flight.
  4. Got mine today, too. Haven't listened yet.
  5. Elvis took the backing tracks of This Year's Model and invited some Latin singers to reimagine the vocals in Spanish. Pretty interesting!
  6. Last year they refunded the ticket money for the 2020 BE Fest. BTW, the Premier Festival and Sonic Explorer Passes are already SOLD OUT for 2021, for anyone who was still interested.
  7. Sounds painful ... get OFF! Oh, and get a pass. Looks like a great lineup (to ME)!
  8. This is going to be a GREAT festival. Bought my pass today. Can't wait!!
  9. What's THIS? Be Bop Deluxe - Live! In The Air Age 1970-1973 (Ltd Edition 15CD+DVD Box) - I wasn't into them back in the day, but thought I would check them out recently. Then THIS was just released, and is available on most streaming services: 131 songs, 14 hours and 40 minutes of music
  10. I think if this was just a reissue of the 3CD set, then probably not worth it. But this set is more about all the additional tracks. The band was really on fire.
  11. Porcupine Tree ‎"In Absentia"
  12. Saw them in NYC a couple of times back in 85
  13. I just listened to the DFs a couple of days ago. Hadn't heard them in a LONG time and I forgot how good they were.
  14. Some interesting extra tracks on this set. Some remixed without the horns, and a couple where Robbie updated his guitar solos.
  15. Yes. Official, of course.
  16. For those on the fence regarding the new mastering, that's trivial compared to the content of this set. If you like Lee and this group, and you like LIVE Lee (none other exists with him as *leader*) then it's a no-brainer. It's 8 CDs and no two performances are alike. And they didn't phone it in, I can tell you that.
  17. If you like Tolliver, this is a must-have
  18. The Grass Roots definitely had a ton of radio hits (and some were quite good!), but their bio is complicated. Here's a reasonably decent overview from AllMusic. The Grass Roots - Biography
