Kenny Burrell & John Coltrane - from the mid-70s Prestige two-fer of the same name. I've also got an OJC Lp of this on the way...but I found the two-fer last nite for only $4.50. The other set included in the two-fer is "The Cats", which I already have an OJC Lp of... It'll be interesting which ones win the shootout. So far, this two-fer sounds just great.

I just received an OJC Lp today of Reflections. I've heard it before, but just casually. I've never heard any of their duo stuff. What's it like? Mellow? Or do they rip it up, too?

Actually, it might be the default setting. But turn off all volume-leveling/normalizing options...

Oh, and you have to change this setting yourself. Play with the controls and options. You'll quickly learn how to navigate everything.

Dmitry, I also recently got a 2GB Nano. I did some experimenting with different encoding bitrates and did not discern a difference "when listening on the iPod." I first tried the lossless. Then 192 Kbps. I am satisfied with 128 Kbps now... And with only 2GB to play with, you'll appreciate the extra capacity with the smaller files.

Okay...so I'm listening to "Let 'Em Roll" now... Any examples of that on this album? (I'm thinking yes, as the bass just kicks ass.) Seems like he's hitting a pedal at the end of the first two tracks. It's deeeep. I mean DEEEEEP.
