gmonahan Posted January 13, 2021 Report Posted January 13, 2021 Decided to give disc one of this one a spin. It has some jazz accordion! Quote
ghost of miles Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 On disc 1 as I begin to revisit this one: Quote
Bluesnik Posted January 25, 2021 Report Posted January 25, 2021 This is one of my favorite Selects. And there is a terrific album in it, The Street Swingers, with Jim Hall and Jimmy Raney. Quote

ghost of miles Posted February 13, 2021 Report Posted February 13, 2021 The Benny Carter big-band sides from this set. Mel Powell sessions on tap after that. Quote
ghost of miles Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 One of the last OOP sets that was on my to-get list: Quote
Ken Dryden Posted March 21, 2021 Report Posted March 21, 2021 I just finished listening to this set today. Quote
Bob_Bobson Posted March 25, 2021 Report Posted March 25, 2021 Picked this up recently, and it reaffirmed my love of the Mosaic label sets. Even though it's strictly piano solos and trios, it's got a great variety that I can listen to for hours. I also just picked up a grail item - the Maynard Ferguson Orchestra!! - that I'm currently ripping to my NAS and then I'll take the dive into that. It's gonna be a good day. Quote
mikeweil Posted March 26, 2021 Report Posted March 26, 2021 (edited) When I returned from work at 2 p.m. the package with the Teddy Wilson box was there on our doormat. How nice to start the week Edited April 6, 2021 by mikeweil Quote
ghost of miles Posted March 28, 2021 Report Posted March 28, 2021 (edited) Revisiting the first Mosaic set I ever bought, as I do every several years. I ordered it not long after it came out in 1995, and to hear this music again 25+ years later is to think that a whole lotta jazz pianists who have emerged since its release have listened to the records therein as well: Edited March 28, 2021 by ghost of miles Quote
