A dry cool morning. We are entering my favorite weather period, fall. I could do without the high winds that seem to be a new feature to the season–there’s a giant beech tree that has become hollow we will have to cut down–big dollars to do that will have to come from somewhere. . . .

Starting off wtih “Strings” by Pat Martino on Prestige/OJC cd. This album is fierce–partly it’s the way it was recorded and partly it is the intensity that Pat and Joe Farrell bring to their heads and solos.

On to an earlier jazz style. Ralph Sutton “Partners in Crime” Analogue Productions gold cd (originally a Sackville recording).

Proud to be able to listen to this CLASSIC. 

It's hard to understand how such an organic sound can be produced on machines.

He created life to feed fetuses like me (and you and himself probably) ... Unbelievable

Tried.....but somehow it doesn´t work for me as much as would do Trane with Pharoah and Alice. 

I can´t say why, but especially that spiritual side of the later developements of so called "Free Jazz" or "New Thing", as the 60´s went on, I might add Albert Ayler, of course Sun Ra....somehow this is the music that brings tears of deep emotions and finally sublime happiness into my mind. Still have not found anything that matches it. I make humble efforts to get some of their genius mind and spritual force into my own music.......at least I try and will try.... till I die.....
