Apparently, the Savory Collection and Paul Desmond are on last chance

If I interpret today's email from Mosaic correctly, the Savory Collection and Paul Desmond boxes are on last chance.

Yes, I just saw that email. Both are fine boxes, but the Savory is really, REALLY essential. Maybe my favorite Mosaic, and I have nearly all of them.

The email certainly wasn't very clear. When I checked the website for clarification, it appears that there is no longer a 'Last Chance' section. How long has that been gone? Regardless...I have the Desmond set, but will be picking up the Savory set as that is one I definitely don't want to miss out on!

I think it’s been a few years since they used that term. I’m actually surprised it took so long for the Savory to almost sell out.

I'm a Paul Desmond fan but for me, a 7 CD box set is just too much. I doubt that I'd ever listen to it all. As it is, I haven't spun the discs in that Desmond RCA box set in years.

The Desmond set is one of my favorite Mosaics.  Ed Bickert is wonderful.

Indeed a favorite of mine too, I've listened to the whole set three times and will repeat in the future.

That’s my problem too. The price-point is just too high for me to justify.  I’ve never owned any of the individual albums from the set — and, ironically, it’s the disc with the valve-trombonist that I’d maybe find to be the most curious (both for being valve trombone, and also for it being a pianoless/chordless quartet configuration.

If it were half the price — and half the material (say 4 discs) — I probably would have bought one by now.

Yes I see that now. 

I had to go back to see if I was crazy and discovered that there's a disparity between a couple of pages on their website.  When I go to my bookmarked page - mosaicrecords.com - I see a display of just the photos of the cover of 10 available sets arranged in a table format.  Scrolling down to the bottom of that page, there's a corresponding list of those same 10 sets.- listed by title and price with a tiny photo of the cover.  From either location on that page, you can click on any of them, see the full page for the set including description, more photos, audio clips and can add them to your cart.

Up in the banner area at the top of the page, when I click on Limited Edition Box Sets  - just below the Mosaic logo at the top of the page - I am sent to the page to which you are referring.  It's a list of sets with the cover photo and a longer description of each set.  On that page, there are 12 sets listed.  The two additional sets listed here are the Savory, as you pointed out, and also the Henderson.

If you go back up to the top of the page and click on the Mosaic logo, you are sent back to the page upon which I based my post.  Total of 10 sets, no Savory and no Henderson.
