How many posters from 2003 are still here on the board?
Aggie87 replied to ghost of miles's topic in Forums Discussion
I remember couw and always enjoyed his posts, he is missed. I don't post here as ofter as I used to, like many in this thread. Joined on March 10, 2003. And I'll always have an appreciation for what this board has been, what countless members have taught me over the years, and the enjoyment we used to have while live chatting (while listening to the same album at 20 different locations around the world and talking about the music - and cussing each other out). Since 2003 I've lived in Germany, Texas, New Jersey, and now Arizona. And during that time I've had the opportunity to meet many board members, for which I'm also thankful: Jazzbo, Shawn, Big Al, Rooster Ties, Vajerzy, RDK, Sidewinder, Soulstream, David Weiss, BFrank, Pete C, noj, and most recently Free For All. -

When I lived in Broward County, jazz offerings were slim. I never made it to Bubba's, but I did catch one great evening in Sunrise while visiting home from either grad school or work, a show that opened with Oscar Peterson solo, followed by Ella Fitzgerald with Count Basie & His Orchestra. I think Butch Miles was his drummer. -

I joined in January of 2004, after first finding Jazz Corner and All About Jazz. Organissimo stole my heart from the get go. Never became a frequent poster but have generally been a regular lurker. And to think, back in my collection's infancy, I thought "Some day I will have 1800 CDs, and then I'll have everything I want." 6500 CDs later....

Yeah, saw the Post-Gazette is folding — but oddly, they’re not even trying to do anything just online, not in any sort of reduced capacity even. Hard to fathom a city the size of Pittsburgh without a newspaper of record. We’re already trying to survey the PGH media landscape for where to get our news — hoping to find some enterprising, hopefully non-profit news-gathering source (which if they’re no. I’m sure when we transfer our NPR support from here in DC to the Pittsburgh NPR station, we’ll double our yearly donation.

Japanese CD twofer (UCCD-9687/8) of Grumiaux and Haskil playing Mozart violin sonatas K.378, K.304, K.376, K.301, K.454 and K.526 I can't find an image. It seems to be a combination of 2 previously released single discs. I bought this because (at the time) it was the easiest way to get the K.454 and K.526. I already had (still do) this recording of the other 4:
