We have one day in Rome during our October cruise and we've booked a 10 hour city tour, so I doubt I'd have any time for music shopping.

Sounds like a great deal (pun intended).

Those things are great - I own several. I have looked their LP cabinets as well (findable from the link above).

Great label - and this one is excellent! I also like their Freddie Hubbard - the mid 70s Columbia albums - while not great, they are worth. listen and the packaging/price is right.

Starting off a rainy day with this awesome Carmen McRate cd on Concord, “You’re Looking at Me (A Collection of Nat King Cole Songs)” John Collins plays excellent guitar here, a key Nat Cole alumnus.

I think the Mal Waldron cd sounds good. Haven't yet received the Evans but the review I did read that panned the sound seemed to come from someone with not much experience with the sound of a typical 625 performance.

Comments for the sound on the Mal Waldron and Bill Evans aren’t good as well. Glad I’ve ordered the Mal Waldron on cd. I already expected it.

playing now: the Illusions session

Well our program is pretty stacked with visits to: the Colloseum, Saint Peter’s Cathedral, The Sistine Chapel, the Pantheon, Castle Saint Angelo, Galleria Borghese and virtually every monument we stumble upon on or way between these world wonders. But come on guys, there is ALWAYS time to visit a record shop. That is at least what I am going to tell my wife
