    Tina Brooks

I heard the Harold Vick tune Our Miss Brooks at a gig on Friday. Could it have been written for Tina? Vick declines to comment on the title in the liner notes. Of course it was also a radio then TV show with Eve Arden. I always liked her. I would like to see the show.
  5. I would appreciate Elemental using period images of Pharoah, rather than shots from the 1960s...
  6. Today, a (just turned 15) piano prodigy, Juilliard student Taige Wang. Played Bach's French Overture BWV 831, a couple of pieces by Chopin, and Liszt's extravagant Réminiscences de Norma de Bellini – Grande fantaisie, S394. It was good.

Conceived by George Klabin, the album features arrangements of Peterson recordings and introduces Marian Petrescu as the featured Piano soloist.

  17. Offered for sale is an amazing, and not very common, Black Sabbath box set: Black Sabbath - Black Box: The Complete Black Sabbath 1970-1978 (8 CD/DVD), Rhino, 2004. Everything (outer box, CDs, CD sleeves, DVD, hardcover book) is in Excellent condition. The outer box shows a little shelf wear as is typical of this box set due to the black felt covering of the outer box but it is in better condition than I usually see it in. Also, one of the inner CD cardboard boxes (there are 2 inner CD cardboard boxes that each hold 4 CD digipacks) has a little rubbing to one side edge from it being pulled in and out of the larger outer box. This is probably the best Sabbath CD box set, in terms of mastering (sound quality is amazing) and packaging. Check reviews on discogs (see link below). There are not many copies for sale on discogs and the lowest-priced copy currently for sale there from a U.S. seller is $147 ($130 - shipping+ tax) so I have priced this well below discogs prices. See discogs link below. https://www.discogs.com/release/689...-The-Complete-Original-Black-Sabbath-19701978 $115 (+ $10 media mail shipping, which includes postal insurance) U.S. shipping only Payment by pay pal friends/family.
