    I bought the first recording I saw of "Rudepoema" after reading Herbie's notes 40 years ago. David Bean on a budget Victrola, IIRC. What became of him? Time for a Google I guess.

    I have not heard the cds but had all the material on Atlas lps from Japan. They are clearly (and clinically recorded in the Japanese manner). Much of the music is first rate and the sound will please.
