  1. The real question is will Bert Blyleven? 2. Can anyone confirm the studio chatter is on this set?
  3. SS1, Here's my second round point total: 46 points, for a total so far of 98 points.
  4. The Complete Johnny Hodges Recordings 1951-1955 LP #2
  5. Much love to the Pistons. If they win the Championship, it just makes Kevin McKale look that much dumber for firing Flip.
  6. The Complete Johnny Hodges Recordings 1951-1955 LP #1
  7. I second this one and would like to recommend Manhattan Symphonie.
  8. He kind of leaves that impression! I met him (along with Jeff Ament & Mike McCready) before a show at First Avenue in 1992. A very quiet guy, who seemed embarrassed by all the groupies infront of the club looking for him! The funny thing is that none of them recognized him because he had his hair up in his baseball hat, so they probably assumed he was with the crew.
  9. The Complete Solid State Recordings of The Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra disc three
  10. Sorry to tell you, but I believe they are opening for Petty. I passed on this one because I have seen them live four times already, but not since the Ten tour. I hope they come back without Petty because I would like to see them again and the cost of the tickets will be cut in half.
  11. I really enjoy the new CD, but then I think all of their CDs have been great (exception being that damn Live compilation). The first three tracks on the CD establish a more guitar oriented sound then I think has been present since Vitalogy. I was listening to the CD on a road trip with a friend and I asked if he also thought that McCready had been listen to his old metal records when the third song came on because it seems to start with an AC/DC riff!
  12. He has also worked on the Branford Marsalis Buckshot LeFonque CDs and with D'Angelo.
  13. I heard some of it on the radio. It sounds really good, with interesting arrangements and a real live sound. I plan on buying it soon.
  14. This is crazy! Thank you for keeping up the good work.
  15. I thought I was the only one that noticed this. What drives me crazy is how much LeBron travels.
  16. Much love for the "Memphis Sessions." Tons of great outtakes.
  17. Very, very sad news. RIP
  18. How do I get a hold of them?
  19. Tonight: The Houston Person Quartet at the Dakota
  20. I also wonder how they are going to tie everything together this season. They had originally said this was to be the last season, then they said there would be 10 episodes this season and 6 next season. I do not know what they are doing now because this season will run for 12 episodes. I assume this will not be the last season because the hype would have to be even bigger.
  21. No. But you still get some points for getting close -- for example, 3 pts for picking the wrong winner of a series that goes 7 games. Guy Are you sure? That is not how I added up my points.
  22. Heck, it's amazing I am not even lower considering I got both the Denver-Clips and Clev-Wash series wrong.
  23. That's right... Damn Lebron!
  24. I know, some of itis a bit cheesy, but no Elvis fan can be without Clam Bake!
  25. They are not on the box. RCA has kept away from remastering the Hayride music, I would assume because they have enough of their own material to make money off of already. Recently, Tomato did a nice job reissuing the material. One of my favorite obscure Elvis CDs is this one: Elvis Presely The Jungle Room Sessions One of the last "studio" sessions Elvis ever recorded. Has a fly on the wall sound to it, with great spoken parts with E talking about shooting the dog and the telephone.
