This was my take too. I have heard his recordings my whole life (my mother is a huge fan), but wasn't blown away by his guitar playing until I saw him on the 2004 tour. I bought my mother tickets for the most recent tour, but now I wish I would have bought some for myself because of the fact that he has added Derek Trucks on guitar and he has been playing a few Derek and the Dominoes era tunes, like: Got To Get Better In A Little While, Bell Bottom Blues, Layla, and Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad. In general, he seems to be working a pretty good set, with Let It Rain, Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out, Running On Faith, Everybody Oughta Make A Change, and Motherless Children among the usual suspects.
