  1. Michael, The link doesn't work. Edit: yep, it does now.
  2. Another one gone. Sad, very sad.
  3. I never knew that books could cause bowel problems...
  4. As long as I can afford it, that is...
  5. Plus Chris' adventures on another board regarding a certain mr Crouch...
  6. They're still available from Fantasy, CDUniverse and other stores, of course.
  7. I didn't, but the board suddenly slowed down to a point that it seemed "dead" again.
  8. I saw that. I think it's cool he did an update thread for B3-er, but why delete the existing "other forums" thread? He made it perfectly clear in a (now also deleted) post in that thread that he didn't like Org members posting only about Org and not taking part in discussions elsewhere on AAJ.
  9. Some engineers who are doing mastering jobs for record companies are fiddling with the EQ by bumping up the high frequencies (and sometimes the lower frequencies as well) when they're transferring music from LPs or whatever source to CD. This manipulated EQ is sometimes described as a "happy smiley" EQ.
  10. Over on AAJ Mike Ricci (xricci) has just deleted the "other forums" thread and replaced it with this.
  11. An ode to Roy Orbison... Hmm... ()
  12. ...and faster than ever!
  13. Belated happy birthday wishes!
  14. ...and many, many returns!
  15. Happy belated birthday wishes!
  16. Happy birthday, and many, many more!
  17. VICJs are 20-bit K2 remastered CD reissues by Victor Japan of Riverside, Prestige and Contemporary albums, mostly in mini-LP cardboard sleeves.
  18. Corea's The Song of Singing (Blue Note 84353) was recorded at the A&R Studios, NYC, on April 7, 1970. It was produced by Sonny Lester.
  19. Corea's Now He Sings, Now He Sobs is not a Blue Note recording; it was originally released on the Solid State label.
  20. Wasn't it Malcolm Addey who did the original transfers to CD? According to this post in another thread he was involved.

    Funny Rat

Let us know what you think of it! My listening session was rudely interrupted, so I can't say too much about it. My first impression was not great, but not as bad as posted here earlier either.
