  1. The Booker Little solo was fantastic.
  2. My Funny Valentine? I've always loved the Keystone CDs. I might have to get this box!
  3. Thanks for this guys. I was not aware of Ralston Crawford. Ralston is my last name.
  4. I bought a mint original pressing last year for $4.99.
  5. IMO very insightful thoughts on sampling from Jim and Clifford. Provocative, and very valid, in a very positive way from my perspective.
  6. I don't have any. Mingus Epitaph?
  7. I really wish the piano was better recorded on the Paris date.
  8. Display is made by Sharp, LG, and the Sony/Hitachi conglomerate. None of this is news. These are not new suppliers.
  9. All I really have to add to this conversation is that I listened to four alto saxophones perform Nonaah today on the Nessa reissue. That experience was worth at least $300.00. It sure as hell is worth WAY more than $0.004, or $30.00 for that matter. No way I could quantify it. Absolutely awe-inspiring music.
  10. My take? You've let an internet forum get under your skin. Might be time to shut it down for a a little while. Try to find something else to fill the time that you normally would log on to the internet. I'm not being condescending, so please don't take this the wrong way.
  11. I had the pleasure of seeing him perform with his local jazz quartet in a back room in New Orleans a couple of years ago. His playing was impeccable; fluid and extremely dynamic. He was a joy. I did see this ACL when it aired and didn't think much of the set.
  12. This was one of the first Miles albums I ever bought. Plan 9 Records in Midlothian, VA used to carry Miles Davis Sony Japan CDs. I bought Them up over time, but this was one of the first, and remains a favorite. I'm sure I've gushed about it ether here or bnbb in the past. A good friend also had Supernova back then. I finally found a copy of my own this past year. Really great to hear the difference in the way this music is approached. Is any of this material also on Speak Like A Child? I can't remember.
  13. I'd love to hear the Nommo music. I had Babi in my hands about a year ago and couldn't justify the cost. As always, I wish I had.
  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steal_This_Album!
  15. My order arrived on Saturday. Thanks Chuck.
  16. I normally don't get involved in this type of shit, but I'm really curious what it is exactly that bothers you so much about this community? Dead BB Walking. “Shut the fuck up, and let me die in peace.” Apologies to those that don't follow BB or are behind on the series.
  17. Looking forward to Chuck's enthusiastic response. In the meantime, how familiar are you with Dust To Digital? http://www.dust-digital.com/catalog/ Lots of option that fit your criteria.
  18. Anyone have any of the Music on Vinyl Miles Davis Columbia reissues? First I've heard of it.
  19. Don't forget his connection to M'BOOM. The Almoravid has that.
  20. The Almoravid was issued on CD by 32jazz. I've never seen nor heard Double Exposure. One day...
  21. Yes indeed
  22. Great links. I'm curious if anyone checked out the version of Games People Play that I posted above. This is the house band that my brother plays in.
