  1. I was wondering if Skull Session would be beyond the OP's boundary?
  2. I saw this thread title, thought of Dmitry, thought of Walt. Glad to see you my friend.
  3. Yes! I came across a large stack of Gary LPs right around the time my daughter was born. These were on heavy rotation during the first few months of her life.
  4. I added the fourth line for emphasis.
  5. It's Lee fuckin' Morgan! What the hell are we talking about?! It's Lee fuckin' Morgan! What the hell are we talking about?! It's Lee fuckin' Morgan! What the hell are we talking about?! It's Lee fuckin' Morgan! What the hell are we talking about?!
  6. It does work, and on a much more basic level than his last record. Search is very repetitive in structure. I don't hear Bitches at all in Lee's last record.
  7. Thanks for this. I will have to come back to it later on in the week!
  8. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Session_(album) Milestones, keep an eye out for this album.
  9. This really is fantastic music. I didn't previously own any of it, and I am floored. No sense in singling out any one musician, moment, or element of the music because I am just completely taken aback. I am very thankful for the insight to document this music. The DVD is wonderful.
  10. I'd suggest buying used. Lots of great equipment available!
  11. Where have y'all been?
  12. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the heads up on Skull Sessions. Small batch!
  14. I think you know this already, but you want them all.
  15. Thank you for the tip. Listening now!
  16. Agreed Imeanyou. And the Whynot stuff is transcendent.
  17. Thanks. I assume this is a cd?
  18. Back when he lived in Richmond, he was in a trio with my brother called CUD. Scott Clark was the drummer. I remember hearing them at Tropical Soul one night, amazed that the room was completely packed to hear a free jazz trio. It was an odd venue for this type of music, but people were all in. Folks from all walks of life!
  19. My mother, a kindergarten teacher at the time, saw my left-handed tendencies and decided life would be easier if I were right-handed. I still shoot pool lefty, just like I did as a toddler.
  20. Allen, I have to say that I have found physical media to be more convenient than the alternative. I've been an early adopter on much of the past decade of technology. Things are in an awkward stage right now. Much of the technology that was once promising in so many ways currently seems to impede. Looking forward to the next phase of the technology age.
  21. I already had a squeezebox, so I went with the vortexbox to rip and serve FLAC. I have the option to mirror to mp3 as well, but i dont have any real Daily need. Pulls in XM radio for me, we do some Internet radio here and there. I've become very comfortable with the terminal, having learned a bit of coding along the way. Lots of things you can do with open-source software.
  22. Records arrived in excellent condition. Thank you Pete.
