  1. There is definitely a lead sheet (with lyrics) in the Chambers folder at the Library of Congress. The copyright number is EU224668 (10/15/70). How useful it is to perform from is TBD. I could ask Joe if he has a more detailed chart if you want to go that route. I asked Woody Shaw son once if the septet arrangement from the Shaw Berlin record could be purchased, and his answer was 'google'. Bertrand.
  2. Patton's widow told me there was a third session. It has been a long time since I spoke to her. Is Ed Cherry on both? I could ask him since we are FB friends, although we have never met Bertrand. PS - it may be listed in Lord.
  3. Amazing that this just came up on this forum since it was all over FB a while back already.
  4. Is this schmaltzy or worth picking up?
  5. Thanks. 'The Children's Merry Go-Round March' clocks in at 28 minutes. Yikes. Please tell me this is not a really grating tune. Bertrand.
  6. Do the new Japanese reissues of the Elvin Jones lighthouse dates have all the necessary bonus tracks? Thanks, Bertrand.
  7. Are the non-hp equivalents just as good? Not sure what Blue Train is getting at...
  8. The battery on my laptop model HP G71-340US notebook is pretty much dead. I guess that's to be expected since it is 4 years old. So how do I get a new one? I searched a bit online, including the HP site, and I can't seem to find it as an HP product - do they not make it anymore? I was at Micro Center a few months ago buying something else and they said they had them but they are not on their site - did they just discontinue them? It looks like Amazon and other places offer a compatible one from other companies - do I have to go this route? Some of them have good reviews, but the size is a bit odd - one sticks out which tilts the laptop, but apparently people like that. Has anyone ever bought a battery for this same model. Is there a reliable third party? Will I cause a problem by using a brand other than HP? Thanks, Bertrand.
  9. Congratulations! I was going to check tonight to see if I needed to kick in some more, but I didn't have to. Bertrand.
  10. Let me get this straight - if I order an OJC CD from Barnes And Noble (for example), it will probably be a CD-R, or do they still have leftover copies of the original OJCs? Thanks, Bertrand.
  11. Thanks so far for all the recommendations. I am leaning towards Sony, Oppo seems like more than I want to spend. I am still totally confused on the region-free issue. Many of the models are listed as region-free, and the reviews do not mention having to do a hardware modification. Has anyone here bought one, especially a Sony, that was region-free straight out of the box? Thanks, Bertrand.
  12. Have a great birthday! Bertrand.
  13. Who is the kid on the cover who is not Denardo? He looks like Charlie Haden. Bertrand.
  14. Thanks Brownie! Bertrand.
  15. Does anyone know what the unidentified track is? Bertrand.
  16. I have heard this and it does sound better than Kevin suggests. I know we have to avoid a link, but can we ask Claude for a track listing? There's one or two tunes that I could not identify. Bertrand.
  17. Tony Falanga and Denardo Coleman (it's going to be a 2-bass, no piano quartet). Bertrand.
  18. I'm guessing someone offered to help the good Dr. but were in over their heads. Bertrand.
  19. I would love to see that band in a different venue. Bertrand.
  20. I am in! I can't wait to hear this. Bertrand.
  21. Every time I see the Wayne Shorter quartet, they play just one tune and it's always the same - 'Zero Gravity'. Bertrand.
  22. Isn't this a violation of the Kickstarter rules? Bertrand.
  23. It is a gorgeous building. It has been a while since I have been there. I actually attended a lunchtime concert there years ago and it was a beautiful setting. If ever someone at the museum does express an interest in a concert series, let me know. Maybe we could tie it in with that concert series down the road Bertrand.
  24. Congratulations! Bertrand.
