  1. Is there a Savory Collection volume 3 being planned? If so, when will it be released?
  2. 1959 Trio "A Jazz Portrait Of Frank Sinatra". OP really swings!
  3. As far as I know "The Last Time We Saw Paris" has not been released on CD. Maybe Brubeck's hold order has stood-up.
  4. Please hold the Toshiko Akiyoshi CD Top Of The Gate for me.
  5. I would like the Toshiko Akiyoshi CD- Top Of The Gate.

  6. JSngry- I do not know if the CD exists- I am just hoping that it does. Based on above comments I now doubt it. I do have a quite good CDR so I just would like to have the actual CD for completeness purposes, as I have all the rest of the Brubeck Columbia/Sony CDs. Kevin- I sure hope the jazz CD market is not on the way out. The problem is, I think, that most of the jazz from the 40's, 50's, and 60's has been reissued on CD and now CD producers are digging at the bottom of the barrel.
  7. What I am looking for is an official CD released by Japan Sony. Less desirable is a CD released by others, likely Europe. In either case not a CDR.
  8. Just got a post- allaboutjazzforum is dead. RIP.
  9. Come on Brubeck and Gerry Mulligan fans. This LP must be on CD somewhere.
  10. Has this LP ever been released on CD by Sony or anyone else? If not, why not?
  11. Bump.
  12. Yes, I am talking about the allaboutjazzforum.com forum. This site over the years has had problems- maybe this last one was fatal.
  13. Bump.
  14. What has happened to Jazz Forum blog? It has not been available on the Internet for a couple of weeks.
  15. Tom- any chance you recorded the Wallington session?

    Dan.

  16. Sonnymax- I have a CDR of the Dorham session. Contact me at hershia@cfl.rr.com if you are interested in a copy. Dan.

  17. How about Kenny Dorham, Blue Lament? 1961 Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
  18. A terrific Red Norvo session is when he backed-up Frank Sinatra in Australia in 1959. The session does not usually show-up in Norvo discographies. It was released under Sinatra by Blue Note in 1997.
  19. Looking for subject LP. Features Harry Babasin (cello) and Bill Dillard (guitar). Recorded 8/21/54. Please pm me.
  20. Has this 1958 or 1962 session been previously released on CD or LP? Could this be a new item in the Brubeck discography?
  21. JSngry- You did an excellent job of research. I will buy 1962 as the probable year. Now- has this Brubeck 1962 session been previously released on LP or CD? In other words is this incorrectly labeled 1958 CD actually something new?
  22. Come on Brubeck fans. Someone out there must know an answer to this problem.
  23. This 1958 session is listed on Amazon. It includes a version of "Take Five". My Brubeck discography says that "Take Five" was first recorded on July 1, 1959 in NYC and released on the Columbia "Time Out" LP (CL-1397). My question is was "Time Out" previously played in 1958 or is the date wrong on the Hollywood Bowl listing?
  24. Jutta Hipp died in Queens on July 30, 2005. She retired from playing piano professionally in late 1956 0r 1957.
  25. Jutta Hipp.
