  1. without knowing the recording you´ve mentioned, i think, it is this : https://www.plosin.com/milesahead/BirdSessions.aspx?s=500700 the late phil schaap in his daily bird flight wkcr ny shows played it years ago and in one of his typical theories gave the following information about this piece: 1950 summer or july -- is not! maybe birdland -- maybe may 1953(?) -- maybe john lewis, p, maybe ray brown, b, but shure kenny clarke, dr. all other discographies have bernie leighton, ray brown and buddy rich as musicians. keep boppin´ marcel
  2. here are two more tracks by the wonderful gordons that are not in the discographies: https://archive.org/details/78_st-louis-blues_the-gordons-handy-teddy-brannon_gbia0393668a https://archive.org/details/78_swanee-river_the-gordons-s-foster-teddy-brannon_gbia0393668b who are the soloists? sounds the same like the session from february 1954 that produced the single track "babs" for columbia. but this is for okeh. (isn´t columbia the mother label from okeh)? discogs has different labels: https://www.discogs.com/de/release/14917639-The-Gordons-St-Louis-Blues-Swanee-River keep boppin´ marcel
