Rise Of The Planet Of the Apes - Rupert Wyatt (2011) Spartacus ! I knew the film had overwhelmed my doubts when I started rooting for the chimps. I could criticize the casting but the humans hardly matter, it's all about the apes. Well done, a great popcorn movie and when is the sequel coming out ?

Saw Captain America and was seriously underwhelmed. Tired, lame, seen it been there waste of time. Nothing comes close to the two Batmans, they are in a class of their own. Sorry, Shawn and it's other admirers, nothing personal.

I look on them as one film. 2 is stylistically different and wider in scope but I find it hard to pick one as a favourite. The Godfather Saga was very interesting. Both parts were edited together including all the additional footage. I actually had a VHS copy of the Saga but somehow lost it.

In case anyone's interested, there have been two 6.0 plus quakes over the last few days, one on Saturday and one last night that woke me, and the rest of Tokyo, up. Things are far from normal here with the government actively promoting sale of Fukushima produce and fruit and idiots galore buying it as if they fulfilling a patriotic duty of support. There have been stories of government agencies telling wholesalers and distributors to remove labels indicating that the item was grown in Fukushima, and at least two instances in our local shops of produce being mislabeled as coming from a safe prefecture when in fact it came from Fukushima. School meals are widely using Fukushima produce . The willful ignorance of people is astonishing and disheartening.
