Well I'm a long time Tokyo resident but I've never seen anything that bad. Maybe it was shot after a suspension of service. Now and again somebody will jump in front of an oncoming train causing big delays. MG Sticks ? Urban legend more like.

He played a despicable villian in so many films, did he ever play a 'good guy' ? Just a couple of weeks ago I watched No Way Out in which he plays a racist two bit hood giving Sydney Poiter a very hard time. I especially liked him in Pickup On South Street but he was good in everything.

Terrible news, and an awful waste of a talented writer and director.

Are the Viao's that bad? I have my eye on one (laptop) for a possible second PC - there seem to be some good deals on them at the moment. Perhaps that's why? Maybe mine was a Monday morning job. The technical support was also terrible, with a very irritating couldn't give a shit attitude. In contrast the Kojiro support service can't do enough to help, including an unconditional 5 year guarantee. Sony make great headphones, but that's about it imo.

Without doubt a Sony Viao desktop. The hard disc burned out in less than two years. I'm now using a Frontier/Kojiro pc and it's as good as the Sony was bad.

Someone gave me the series one dvd set as a gift and I was hooked. I've watched ever series, some of them twice, and think it's certainly one of the best things ever made for American tv. I sometimes found the continuity and dialogue a bit tough but loved every show. The finale didn't disappoint me at all, it was apt that it should end like that. A neatly tied up conclusion would have betrayed the whole spirit of the show.

I'm usually wake up about 6.00 but doze until getting up at 6.40, every day. Some of you super early risers must hit the sack in the middle of the evening, I rarely go to bed before 11.00.

A cut from that Ellingtonians album was featured on the BBC program -- "Cherry," I believe. Sensational tune. The HRS does look inviting. EDIT: On order. Thanks so much for pointing this one out. Very excited! The Mosaic HRS is great , it's one of my most played Mosaics.

We recently bought a new model Panasonic 32"LCD, model No. TH-32LX75S Viera, and are well satisfied, I can't find anything negative to say about it. Of course the picture is fantastic, using a HDMI cable link, all our dvds look far better than on the old Hitachi and hi def broadcasts are eye poppingly 3 dimensional.
