  1. 30's to 40's here in mid Michigan. Rain, snow, grey. The sun just teases us once in a while this time of year. Glass of Merlot or a cup of green tea. Got some Guiness and Bell's in the fridge, too.
  2. M easily has the highest concentration of guitarists in my collection: Martino Montgomery Metheny Mclaughlin Masakowski Munthspiel Monder Also Bob Moses Paul Motian Jack McDuff Christian McBride MMW
  3. Thank you for the write-up Lazaro!

I saw her with Joe Henderson in the mid-90's. Great show, and I was very impressed with Renee.
  5. Going back to basics is never a bad idea...
  6. I was thinking the same thing last night, but didn't post it. 123 456 1 2 3 456 row row row your boat ... is a unnatural way to count it, for me at least. edit: can't seem to get the numbers and lyrics to line up.
  7. You're as good as they come, Tom. FFA's opening post said it all. B)

  9. Didn't see the organissimo cd prominently displayed in any of those collections... Berigan, when I stopped listening to metal, Megadeth had like 4 albums out!!! I preferred Slayer, anyway.
  10. Got mine in the mail today. Thanks Chuck! Those guys you got to write the liners aren't half bad!

Thanks for the tip! Where's he from?
  12. My favorite dark chocolate, so far...
  13. Exactly. Get me worked up and I say shit that will never be lived down.
  14. They're coming to Ann Arbor next week, and once again, we have a gig that night. I've missed them for something like 4 years running.
  15. Oh God, don't get us started on harmony again!
  16. Update: My wife and I just got back from city hall, where it turns out that they did catch the poacher. The cops found the taxi with the nine point buck in the back. It hadn't even been dressed out at that point, indicating that the guy shot it just for the rack. He's apparently accepting the charges of having the loaded weapon in his vehicle (the city is making that charge), as well as two DNR charges. Justice prevails!!!
  17. That was the first thing I thought of when I heard of this nonsense.
  18. Would it kill ya to play a little Seger?!? Bob Seger Day But what about Ted Nugent???
  19. And Michigan is no exception. Right now, most of us state employees are working 40 hours and getting paid for 38, along with having to take unpaid furlough time.
  20. Separate bank accounts would be advisable, even without incidents like this actually. It doesn't mean you don't trust each other. It takes two highly disciplined and communicative people to make a joint account work (and how many of us can claim that?). Having separate accounts is an easy way to avoid mistakes, misunderstandings, and wipeouts like the one you just had.
  21. Sad. Didn't this happen to you last year as well? That's just a bit too much power if you ask me. I've heard that the Fed has taken steps to lessen this sort of thing; but it sounds like the state is going in the other direction. They actually called you a liar????
  22. Damn! Sounds like a hell of a good time. B)

Pulled this one off the shelf: Ordered if from BMG when it came out in '97, but didn't get into it then. Sounds damn good to me now. Some very unusual (and cool) compositions. Ensemble sounds great, recording is superb.
