  1. I heard the one with Jack White, was the other one funnier? Silly me sent "It Might Get Loud" back to netflix w/o watching. can't believe that Wanda Jackson is 74!
  2. agree the latest seems a triptych to 'Voices' and 'Home Cookin' but is a bit more "lite". this is nice preview - featuring the title track:
  3. had some of them Dogfish 90 Minute IPAs over the weekend. good stuff, but alas I was straightened right up when the bill came! premium brew. now what's with the electric-football-game hopping? & a rec for anybody out in Cleveland - had a chance to check out Bar Cento across from the West Side Market last week. Belgian beer houz with the best duck fat fries - oh my oh my!
  4. probably should go in the Hello Kitty thread but ... new meaning to De Beers.
  5. she's got a cut on the new Byrne / Fatboy Slim / Imelda disc as well. worth tapping a few shoes to ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD1ADy12hMY
  6. You'll need to go to the Sears in Shubaya.
  7. looking about Soundway and found this BBC 'Welcome to Lagos' Doc.
  8. yes, Logan and Frank "well dressed man" Booth could do a Thelma and Louise for the ages.
  9. I still have one of her guitar picks that she tossed my way - '83? maybe
  10. Much of that has been issued previously right? (I see the set at iTunes where I went now just to make sure that that essential 'Voodoo Session': "VooDoo" / "Bailey's Blues" was still there for all who missed the 666 Trunk release like me.)
  11. That would be great for the buyer BUT Amazon takes a huge chunk out of their own from a sale and they credit the buyer's "actual shipping" price. I think for some of the stuff you see Newbury etc offering the only way they make any money at all is with the fees being offset by discounted arrangements in their own shipping methods - so the more shipments the better. Sending a disc first class w/ confirmation in the states is pretty much the total shipping credit allowed by Amazon. It's a bit like sellers on eBay who used to spot you a disc and charge eight bucks to ship it ... thus going around the eBay fee with a cheap sale and making it on the shipping. Now eBay only allows $3 max for media shipments - whether it be a huge box set or EP.
  12. thems from the Baby Loves Jazz stuff, right? Steven Bernstein, Medeski, Sharon Jones etc ... never heard em or read em.
  13. mine was just a bad pun ... never liked that song either.
  14. compared to what?
  15. but that Perry comes pre-moistened!
  16. maybe goodspeak needs a bit of apropos reality - like Tiger's ad was some fuggin genius bit of originality! dig in
  17. yeah I think a simple animation of pop's big paw slappin' him upside dee hed would have gone over better.
  18. Googled it and no sign of a House of Blues near Fenway. Just thought I saw a sign for it real quick out of the corner of my eye earlier. Swing and a miss for me, I guess. The rather new HOB (Club Avalon for ages) is on Lansdowne Street ... along with a slew of bars and clubs. Those beyond the Coke Bottle Papi's & Manny's of yore would land right in the club's doorway. The street is a buzz of nightlife (well, twilight life, since it is Boston) on the Green Monster side and crazy crowded on weekends no matter when.
  19. how bout this! 1,228 calories 1,380 milligrams salt 32 grams fat
  20. thank you! never heard of this. I zipped directly to the second half of this segment - cannibalism unites us all. check that beat-box segue from Rio DJ Pitbull (you knew that's where he was going with the glimmer twins and then into old Yaz)
  21. nice, for what and all it is!! so that's not Gerald Wilson? and ta think I chose to opt out when the gals in the family all went to 9!
