  1. looking about Soundway and found this BBC 'Welcome to Lagos' Doc.
  2. yes, Logan and Frank "well dressed man" Booth could do a Thelma and Louise for the ages.
  3. Much of that has been issued previously right? (I see the set at iTunes where I went now just to make sure that that essential 'Voodoo Session': "VooDoo" / "Bailey's Blues" was still there for all who missed the 666 Trunk release like me.)
  4. That would be great for the buyer BUT Amazon takes a huge chunk out of their own from a sale and they credit the buyer's "actual shipping" price. I think for some of the stuff you see Newbury etc offering the only way they make any money at all is with the fees being offset by discounted arrangements in their own shipping methods - so the more shipments the better. Sending a disc first class w/ confirmation in the states is pretty much the total shipping credit allowed by Amazon. It's a bit like sellers on eBay who used to spot you a disc and charge eight bucks to ship it ... thus going around the eBay fee with a cheap sale and making it on the shipping. Now eBay only allows $3 max for media shipments - whether it be a huge box set or EP.
  5. thems from the Baby Loves Jazz stuff, right? Steven Bernstein, Medeski, Sharon Jones etc ... never heard em or read em.
  6. mine was just a bad pun ... never liked that song either.
  7. maybe goodspeak needs a bit of apropos reality - like Tiger's ad was some fuggin genius bit of originality! dig in
  8. yeah I think a simple animation of pop's big paw slappin' him upside dee hed would have gone over better.
  9. Googled it and no sign of a House of Blues near Fenway. Just thought I saw a sign for it real quick out of the corner of my eye earlier. Swing and a miss for me, I guess. The rather new HOB (Club Avalon for ages) is on Lansdowne Street ... along with a slew of bars and clubs. Those beyond the Coke Bottle Papi's & Manny's of yore would land right in the club's doorway. The street is a buzz of nightlife (well, twilight life, since it is Boston) on the Green Monster side and crazy crowded on weekends no matter when.
  10. how bout this! 1,228 calories 1,380 milligrams salt 32 grams fat
  11. thank you! never heard of this. I zipped directly to the second half of this segment - cannibalism unites us all. check that beat-box segue from Rio DJ Pitbull (you knew that's where he was going with the glimmer twins and then into old Yaz)
  12. nice, for what and all it is!! so that's not Gerald Wilson? and ta think I chose to opt out when the gals in the family all went to 9!
  13. that Dr John set looks tasty. wonder if the sound is in need of magic?
  14. Best to you in the recovery haul, and on. A good friend / client had thyroid removal a few months back that proved benign. She was w/o a voice for six weeks or so but after very dedicated vocal coaching therapy she is up to her old self and doing great. So good to hear your prognosis is top of the mark. Sounds like time for some of those cakes from the old BNBB days are in order!
  15. What others were you lucky enough to see at Sandy's?
  16. '70 or '71 Chicago Transit Authority w/ my parents. Sat in the first row ... man it was LOUD!
