  1. looks to be some good lookin' grandkids in your future.
  2. agreed. From the best story teller in Rock n Roll to the flannels and bandanas. last set for me was Born in the USA at the hallowed grounds of Cleveland Muni. I cherish all the memories of the '78 tour - five times (I think) at $7.50 a pop, figure I paid the guy two bucks an hour. I think he jacked it up to a ten for the River tour.
  3. Aerosmith fans might, but you kinda missed the point of the post. :w Yeah but at least an awesome band like Aerosmith has their own "Rock 'n Roller Coaster" ride at Disneyland, Disney World, Disney etc... So why bother with philanthropy and food banks and calling 9/11 widows and ... when one's so vain. Or did I miss the point as well?
  4. ain't so much about the "version" here. that concert was in the dead days of August - tin cans exploding out in the 90 degree heat - and the Agora venue was an oven in January. It was the perfect intro to a legendary show. at least he didn't swing his microphone around by the cord - all the fucking time!
  5. looks good for rabid fans. the best live period in his career. sure wished he'd just release that Agora Ballroom set. missed the ticket lottery but we were all glued to that radio. "round for round and pound for pound there ain't no finer band around" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3REz6vufmI
  6. damn! I like that CeeLo - best thing I've heard like that since Raphael Saddiq now now Lily: zat a Carpenters' riff?
  7. Yes. FIrefox 3.6.8 Mac OS 10.6.4 went away for a time and was able to use the refresh "view active" w/o any problem for a week or so ... but it's been doing it for a couple weeks again and still persists. & fwiw I encounter the error first off when signing in to the forums. I gather Chuck and Hans have not encountered the problem.
  8. bull leaps into crowd! whoa ... here's a bull who must have been channeling that airline stewardess dude and just could not take it anymore. you go bull!
  9. with a half dozen plus blown saves so far - ENOUGH WITH THE FUGGIN DROP KICK MURPHYS ALREADY!!
  10. Pulling up the parquet at the Garden for one of these: it's official
  11. wonderful clip, thank you! have you been there???? oh no, did not mean that ... I just caught the performance on the tv and now internets.
  12. caught her a month or so ago doing a Prince tribute on BET awards. http://betawards.bet.com/video_playlists/2010-performances my monae is on Esperanza and Alicia.
  13. woof ... what a tough crowd. at least now when you google "letterman" and "jazz" you get "craps all over" courtesy of the organissimo forums. and I'd take Paul the Shiv at a wedding any day.
  14. thanks! I knew iTunes had it for big money but this is mainly podcast ready fare. good to see Ben's music "sort of " available @ amazon as well. too bad he can put together something aside from Japanese imports and mp3s.
  15. judge fer yersef ... he was tough as hell at The Ohio State (playing under Woody might have had something to do with it) and the Raiders were perfect for him - he had that Ben Davidson spear going as well as the undercut when he was out of hammering position. The fact that he supposedly never reached out to Stingley was piss poor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1lYWg0_Yz8
  16. first look at this thread ... Saw an interview recently on why Gary Player wears black? cuz he "thought Paladin was the coolest". Now, any of you old enough to have watched "The Restless Gun"?
  17. RIP I can imagine a Toeterix sendoff instead of bagpipes.
  18. Fresh Air did a nice replay of some Pekar ... lead me to look up Kent State P R commentaries. http://www.wksu.org/news/commentators/pekar/
