  1. A list of the latest CLASSIC RECORDS Reissues (December 04). All are MONO pressings: BN-1557 Lee Morgan: Volume 3 BN-1559 Johnny Griffin: A Blowin' Session BN-1560 Hank Mobley: Hank BN-1570 Sonny Clark: Dail "S" for Sonny BN-1576 Sonny Clark - Sonny's Crib BN-1580 Johnny Griffin "The Congregation"
  2. I forgot the first Jazz in Paris box on my list.
  3. I'm surprised nobody mentioned some of my favorite sets so far: The complete LESTER YOUNG studio sessions on Verve The complete BUD POWELL on Verve STAN GETZ - The complete Roost recordings (I mean the BN 3CD box!) LENNIE TRISTANO - Intuition (Proper - you'll get a lot of Tristano's leader sessions with this superb box) LEE MORGAN - Live at the Lighthouse (BN 3CD set)
  4. Ohh boy, what for a great box this 12LP set is! The sound of the 180g vinyls are extremely good. I have an original pressing of Coltrane Jazz and can't say which one sounds better. Nice packaging and very informative booklet! I bought this box for €100 (2nd edition, sealed) some days before christmas and still listen to nothing else. Highly recommendend! It's no longer available directly from Rhino Handmade but it can be found elsewhere (e.g. True Blue).
  5. UNITY (New York, USA)
  6. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
  7. Amazon.de @ EURO 76.99!
  8. Art Farmer/Benny Golson/Jazztet sessions. Another christmas gift. Brilliant.
  9. Anita O'Day. It was a christmas gift. I was not sure if I'd need this set but all I can say is that it contains some very beautiful music. #2,925 out of 7,500 - not really a hot seller!
  10. Yes! Please!
  11. Celebrating christmas with Jimmy Smith: Prayer meetin' (blue/white Liberty) followed by Crazy! Baby (47 West 63rd)
  12. Teddy Wilson is now listed in the Last chance category.
  13. Some time ago I asked Mosaic for another Don Cherry box because my box looked so terrible. Scott sent me a replacement without any charges. Brilliant service!
  14. Thanks porcy62! The Raney & Cohn are interesting. But I never heard anything about the reissue labels 'Sundazed' & 'Sun Records'. Any recommendations?!
  15. I enjoy both "One on one" duo sessions together with Bill Mays on dmp.
  16. Are they all from CLASSIC RECORDS?
  17. No sweat, please! There are some sets (Weston, Parker) backordered because of increased holiday sales. The Mulligan is limited to 7.500 if I remember correctly. That will need some time. But the Mulligan will not go out of print because of expired licence. All of the 7.500 sets will find a new home, I bet!
  18. The Shank/Cooper is not the only one. The following note is posted on the Mosaic site concerning Holiday shipping. Please note that all Mosaic sets are in stock and ready for shipment except for Mosaic Select MS-003 (Randy Weston) and MS-010 (Bud Shank/Bob Cooper) and Mosaic Records boxed set #129 Charlie Parker. These are on backorder and will not ship until after Christmas.
  19. $ 650!
  20. I only have 10-20 SACD but no player. Because multichannel is no big thing for me as a jazz fan I'm not sure if I will ever buy me a SACD-player.
  21. I'm not sure to spent some money on a Pacific LP which has green vinyl. Can somebody give me a hint concerning sound quality? Could this one be an ORIGINAL release??? Thanks.
  22. Duke Jordan - TRIO & QUINTET (Savoy, 1993 Nippon Columbia pressing) On side 1 Jordan plays in the trio format together with Percy Heath and At Blakey. Excellent! On side 2 all three receive some support from Eddie Bert and Cecil Payne.
