  1. Wish I could- I have a dial-up connection and it takes about 8 skillion hours to download anything!! That's the only thing available where I live- no cable or DSL.
  2. I wasn't on the computer for a few days and I missed Lon's post about additional sets being made available....... NUTS I called the Dead on Thursday and they were sold out again..... I'm hoping that I'll be able to pick up the box from the Dead or from someone who bought two of them and wants to sell one.....
  3. I keep on asking for it and Nathan keeps on sending me the same auto-response as someone else posted. Oh well- hoping I'll stumble upon a set one day.
  4. Go attend. I heard it's a great thing. I grew up in Jersey- but in South Jersey- Hoboken's about 2 hours north.
  5. I'd like to get a copy- I went to order it on Sep 7 and sold out. If someone bought extras and wants to sell one- I'll buy it.
  6. The oil companies are the ones making the money- not the gas stations- unless the gas stations are owned by the major suppliers. The Mom and Pops get a price quote for a delivery from the terminals- who are owned by the Citgo, Chevron, etc. They mark up their gas as they see fit. The large pipelines (Transmontagne, Colonial Pipeline)supplying this area and other East Coast states originate in the Gulf area and they may be affected by Katrina.
  7. I love the poeple who will drive 10 miles to save 3 cents/gallon......the amount of money someone saves hasn't changed in years.......1.50 to 1.40 or 2.50 to 2.40.......same amount. Have you noticed all the trucks and SUVs for sale on the side of the road? I'm noticing them...... I inspect gas stations for a living and it's real interesting watching the prices fluctuate......some station owners feed the hysteria by raising their price at a whim.....the station closest to me will keep her price at what she paid....if she bought 5k gallons at 2.40, she'll keep it at the price until a new load is delivered, then it jumps up 10 cents. Her profit is 8 cents/gallon. Station owners don't get rich selling gasoline- most I've seen is 10 cents markup at the time of delivery. Usually the price goes up and down over the past year but everything has ben going up. I'm glad I drive a Toyota Corolla at 35-40 mpg. I commute 300 miles each week- mostly highway past farmland so 4 traffic lights at most.
  8. Wishing good thoughts for those people in the affected area......... I hope the Big Dawgs who run our country can divert a few billion from activities overseas and actually spend it on our citizens who really need it. This is the time when it's reallly needed.

  15. I've been purging my Mosaics and some box sets to finance other ventures and so far, the ones I've sold on Ebay are now residing in (other than the US): England, UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and New Zealand. Pretty amazing!! I'm glad that people are enjoying them all over the world!!!
  16. Well Tony- we could have worked a deal..... It's going to the UK. The Kenton Presents is going to New Zealand.
  17. Going the other direction on Ebay: My Kenton Presents Cooper Holman etc. went for $78.00. My Krupa/James went for $100.00.....and now the buyer doesn't want it. I thought they would go much higher.....
  18. Tony- I KNOW how much they cost when you bought them..... That's why I took care of you after your generous loan!! It's a Win-Win......
  19. Dan- That's correct- I believe public awareness within the last 2 years has increased the scrutiny and players are aware of that. Now Jon Miller had an interesting comment in that overall, more home runs have been hit within the last few years but the league leaders numbers have decreased. I'm not sure if this is correct. Those bloated numbers a few years ago are probably a thing of the past. Correct- steroids doesn't help a darn if you can't make contact.
  20. Start a bootleg thread there- state that you want to see more Sinatra music similar to the Miles boxes with different takes and false starts. More concerts.......say you're a Rick Apt fan. ......then DUCK.........especially when Nancy comes out of nowhere to defend "da Fambly" It's Evangelical....... It's the Church of Sinatra!
  21. I believe Aaron said he will not attend a game if and when Bonds breaks his record. Conseco's book is not 100% lies...there's shreds of truth in there.....I don't like the guy personally, but he was a talent....I know someone in the Braves organization who knows minor leaguers who were suspended for steroids........and I believe there are lots of players in MLB who did use them- and still do. Lenny Dykstra c.1993- look at him compared to 1992 and 1991. Brady Anderson hitting 50 home runs?? Remember when 50 home runs was a great achievement? George Foster in the 70s and Cecil Fielder? No one blinks anymore when someone hits 50.
  22. If you can't find it- I have the Complete Reprise Recordings Set and I can recreate the album on a CD-R if you want it. Let me know. Mike
  23. Hey Tony!!! I just found this thread........ YOUR WELCOME!!!!!
  24. I think this is a private matter between pryan and those involved and this thread is unwarranted.
