I've been purging my Mosaics and some box sets to finance other ventures and so far, the ones I've sold on Ebay are now residing in (other than the US): England, UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and New Zealand. Pretty amazing!! I'm glad that people are enjoying them all over the world!!!

Please tell me I spent my money wisely.

Well Tony- we could have worked a deal..... It's going to the UK. The Kenton Presents is going to New Zealand. -
Going the other direction on Ebay: My Kenton Presents Cooper Holman etc. went for $78.00. My Krupa/James went for $100.00.....and now the buyer doesn't want it. I thought they would go much higher.....
-
Tony- I KNOW how much they cost when you bought them..... That's why I took care of you after your generous loan!! It's a Win-Win......
-
Dan- That's correct- I believe public awareness within the last 2 years has increased the scrutiny and players are aware of that. Now Jon Miller had an interesting comment in that overall, more home runs have been hit within the last few years but the league leaders numbers have decreased. I'm not sure if this is correct. Those bloated numbers a few years ago are probably a thing of the past. Correct- steroids doesn't help a darn if you can't make contact.

Start a bootleg thread there- state that you want to see more Sinatra music similar to the Miles boxes with different takes and false starts. More concerts.......say you're a Rick Apt fan. ......then DUCK.........especially when Nancy comes out of nowhere to defend "da Fambly" It's Evangelical....... It's the Church of Sinatra!

I believe Aaron said he will not attend a game if and when Bonds breaks his record. Conseco's book is not 100% lies...there's shreds of truth in there.....I don't like the guy personally, but he was a talent....I know someone in the Braves organization who knows minor leaguers who were suspended for steroids........and I believe there are lots of players in MLB who did use them- and still do. Lenny Dykstra c.1993- look at him compared to 1992 and 1991. Brady Anderson hitting 50 home runs?? Remember when 50 home runs was a great achievement? George Foster in the 70s and Cecil Fielder? No one blinks anymore when someone hits 50.

If you can't find it- I have the Complete Reprise Recordings Set and I can recreate the album on a CD-R if you want it. Let me know. Mike

A warning about a board member -- pryan

I think this is a private matter between pryan and those involved and this thread is unwarranted. -

Mine is up on Ebay so you have a chance to get it for less than a new set. -
Or....... How about the Jimmy Smith Mosaic at $265.00 with 2 days to go??!!! Talk about striking when the iron is hot.....
-
Dmitry- I bubblewrap them twice, then cut strips of bubble wrap to be placed on the corners, then I get heavy duty brown paper and wrap it like a gift, then do it again. I take heavy clear tape and wrap the corners and sides. I'll make labels for addresses and place clear tape over them. Very well protected! Mailing of the sets range around $19.00-$21.00 airmail parcel post, average of 7 days.

I've recently been selling some Mosaics and other box sets on Ebay and in all but a few instances, the buyers were from Europe. I've sold sets to people in Portugal, Spain, Germany, France and Italy. I'm glad that these people can buy the Mosaics and payment and shipping hasn't been a problem (so far!) except for one guy from Italy who didn't know Paypal- but that is straightened out. They're happy with their purchase and I'm happy to sell to them. Anyway- I want to get people's comments on why I'm seeing an increase in purchasers from Europe. My idea is because the Euro is strong against the USD and US goods are cheaper. Anyone else have ideas? Mike

Frank Sinatra Columbia complete box
vajerzy replied to ghost of miles's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
Hey Tony- I was wondering when you would chime in!! This is my favorite of the Sinatra years- Everything is thoroughly researched and catalogued. I tend to like 40s era music so I'm a little biased. I bought this when it came out so I have the wooden box. Blue-eyes.com has it for $209.99 Now- where can I buy the import set mentioned above? -
Last call for this set- then it's off to Ebay.... I can't conclusively say it arrived with the scratch- it's been awhile and I don't want to blame Mosaic for it if I'm not sure. Thanks everyone-

Numbered set, box and booklet in great shape. All 6 CDs in fine shape except #3 which has one large scratch on it. Doesn't affect play- in fact I'm playing the CD as I type this. Don't know how I did it- but it's there....come to think of it- I may have received it this way...... I listened to this set enough...... $90.00 delivered to your US based door (USPS priority/insurance/delivery confirmation). If you live somewhere else- we'll figure something out. Please use the PM feature if interested. Thanks for looking! Mike

Wow- haven't checked it in a while..... any promotional codes that will get a discount on purchases?? I have most of DPs up through 24.

Jim- Starting in late fall, American Robins tend to fly south for the winter. Most will be seen in the southern states and Mexico. They collect in large flocks and go to communal roosts at night. I say "tend to" since Robins don't fly to central America or South America, like other birds such as hummingbirds or Tanagers, or Towhees, rather they will hang in the southern states where the climate is more temperate- TX being one. Here in VA, I may see the odd Robin in the winter months but starting a few weeks ago through April I'll have large flocks come through- it's quite a site. Then they start pairing off for the breeding season. Conversely, I see Juncos at my feeder every day- they are wintering in my back yard and will leave for their summer breeding home in the Arctic and northern Canada- when they are gone, I know spring is right around the corner. What does everybody collect besides music?

Luckily in VA we don't have that......but we may in 2008......an ex-gov, George Allen may run for the republicans.......he's a major posterior's orifice....... And now back to "what you do for a living"..... Next?? -

A state employee of Virginia- I inspect gasoline stations for compliance with air, water and waste regulations. I also do after-hours pollution response on a rotational basis; I'll be the State on-scene coordinator for spills in waterways, fish kills, and other environmental problems. I actually enjoy my job! -
Quote from TedR: I can appreciate that other people have successfully used it. But what i find funny is that I seem to have problems with my browser application ONLY at this one website, never at any others. In theory their site couldn't be simpler to use, but I'm blocked at every turn EXCEPT when my credit card information was processed. They got that communique....and they responded with a confirmation. My security settings were the same when I tried to order and send questions as when my credit card information and e-mail address were entered. They got my cc and personal info (no problems with my browser app then evidently)........now they just don't take my orders or see my followup comments. TedR- Same this happened to me- look back around page 1 or 2 of the thread (I believe). I ordered off another computer and no problem....BUT it doesn't like mine!! I tried everything I can think of....clear cache, turn off firewall, set special acceptance for cookies from this site- to no avail. I did get the Seven Steps and I'm pleased with it!
