  1. Still love ya, ya big lug..........
  2. Welcome to the board! Here are some discussions on Bartok..... Bartok thread Another Bartok thread One more Bartok thread
  3. I'm glad I lurked for a while before joining the board. I was able to get a sense of the various personas, and when I joined I kind of laid low initially. You know, listen/read a bit before flooding the board with newbie posts. I think one has to have a concept of joining an existing community, and realize there are folks who have been around for a while, some of whom are highly respected members of said community (and who may come off as salty MFs to the unfamiliar). One has to know how to interpret the comments of various members, and the best way is to listen before leaping. I'm just sayin'.
  4. Wow, it's VERY red now and very "otherworldly" looking. Weird, wild stuff......
  5. Very clear here. Just a tiny sliver of lit moon, the rest seems to be in a red shadow.
  6. Unless, of course, it's a nudist colony.
  7. Do a deer. A female deer.
  8. I say stakeout the public restrooms in the area. You should have your man within the hour.
  9. I'm SO happy the Liebman is coming out! I've always loved that record. GREAT rendition of Footprints. Way to go Mosaic!
  10. Vista for me has been a real drag. I may see about putting XP back onto my notebook. Just until I make my switch to a Mac Book Pro in a couple months.
  11. That happens to me pretty much every day.
  12. ....and whiskers on kittens....
  13. I'm contemplating doing this too, and my research seems to lead to the LCD as the option of choice. It's my understanding the "blurry" problem has been fixed in later models. I'm looking at something in the 37"- 40" range. Prices have been coming down steadily, and it may be time to take action soon; as far as recommended brands, I'd be interested to hear from those who have experience. I think there was a thread about this at some point, but the technology has been evolving so quickly it's probably out of date already. Good luck!
  14. I just discovered that over at Da Bastids. Ordered it, haven't received it yet.
  15. Very helpful! This method is often referred to as "creative visualization". It's part of a Zen-type concept that is described in (among others) the "Inner Game" books ("Inner Game of Tennis" is one of my favorite books about MUSIC, period!). The concept of visualization has helped me as a performer, but more so as a writer. When I "hit the wall" in the composing process, I "put myself in the audience" and imagine listening to the composition, and most of the time the "solution" reveals itself, as if it has existed all along and I was simply overlooking it by focusing too much on the "process" and too little on the music itself.
  16. Why not "Countdown" and "Happy House" too? "Countdown"- that's SO "5 handbells ago"..............
  17. I'll take "Rock" and the points.
  18. Well, that's one way to (not) look at it. Hey Joe! How ya doin? Good to see you. Can you believe those people over at AAJ?
  19. I'm thinking Donna Lee. Or maybe Lennie's Pennies. Perhaps Una Muy Bonita.
  20. Any relation?
  21. You're lucky I don't know how to use photo shop, otherwise I would have conjured up the image you described.
  22. I know, it wasn't a daytime show, but still.......
  23. I'm feelin' a draft. Is it just me?
